I agree, and too many are reacting emotively to criticism and thinking it’s the same as calling for his head.  It isn’t.  And it’s a football forum - not sure what else folks are meant to talk about.  I wouldn’t want to read lots of ostrich impersonators sticking their heads in the sand, telling me that shit is sugar.

It's the hyperbole rather than anything else.  Everyone knows we're on a bad run if form, but our form for the 18 months previously has been better than anyone could have hoped for,.

It seems like he has lost the support of the players in terms of them having discipline in following his tactics, which could be due to him having no plan B and continuing to run people in to the ground despite the small group of players fit.

7 losses in 8 could easily be 10 losses in 11 come the end of the month, I don’t see how he survives that if it does happen.

He survives because of what he has done in the 2 years leading up to that.  Hopefully our board are smart enough to see Howe had his squad playing above themselves and that there are very few managers who could squeeze as much out of these players as he has

We will be a bottom half of the league team by the end of January.

And a top half one by the end of February.  We are not a top 4 team yet, we need a few seasons to build a squad and for me Eddie Howe is the man to oversee that.  We finished fourth last season and he saved us from what looked like a certain relegation the season before.  I understand people being upset about our recent form  but we are still .oving in the right direction in the medium term

It's taken to get to 7 losses out of 8 for some to accept Howe can be criticised. It's too late now. Signs were there and we're now fully in the soup. That's what some have issue with. They've been fully dismissed and are still being called mental for being right to have had concerns. I couldn't even say going into the Xmas period this was a 'test' without being jumped on. A fucking test. Turned into a lot more than that, didnt it?

I've never changed my tune. A loss to sunderland is unacceptable. Everything else before and after I couldn't care less. Happy to write this season off and learn lessons across the board. He needs to be willing to learn though, and nothing I've seen in the last month screams flexibility, tactical knowledge, squad management or innovation. It's like another manager is inside of him. All of what we've loved about him has gone on vacation. He's even digging out players. Wtf? This is not him. I don't know what else to say really. Unfortunately you can't rest a manager.

In the soup?  That soup being an upper mid table finish with the possibility of Europe

  5. People on here are ridiculous. We have lost away to the team who are top of the league and who have lost once all season.  Anyone suggesting Howe should go needs to get to fuck

Because it’s like saying we would miss Ritchie or Dummett if they weren’t available.

Both of whom have been called on to play this season.  At the very least he could have played cup games to give other players a rest

Agree with what you are trying to highlight, but I wish people wouldn’t put Manquillo in these lists ?

Why?  He's one of our 25 man squad.
