That's great to hear it really is. Sounds like you've got a little ASM on your hands
-
I'll speak to the coach at Felling now but Birtley Town Juniors might also be a good shout for you

My 7 yr old is now getting properly into football....can anyone recommend a good place to get him playing somewhere south of the river?
Where are you based? a mate of mine looks after Felling Magpies U7's and they have 2-3 teams
-
i don't know yet as can't get on the site ha ha. 10,000 in front of me then it crashed when transferring to check
-
they are logging in now to see if they are eligible to buy a ticket in prep for the lottery next week
-
It should really be as simple as...
PLAYERS play
COACHES coach
SUPPORTERS support
like anything in life though fair to say there's a few deviations away from this

Great idea for a grassroots thread @pinkeye
I've coached at Felling Magpies & Redheugh, both great clubs and a huge shout out to all coaches and those who help & support the team who give up their free time to develop young children to becoming better adults, football is only part of it, for me all about providing them with the tools to apply themselves as they progress in life.

We've got the tools to be vaguely difficult to beat and snatch the odd win. How many teams actually play 'free-flowing attacking football' anyway? What does it even mean; a team dominates possession and keeps their opponents camped in their own half for the majority of games? Cos only the very best teams are capable of playing like that every week; there's only Man City and Liverpool who I'd back to routinely pummel teams 4+ nil. In any case, an all out attacking team can't be an effective one without a solid structure and good defenders to reduce the vulnerability of being beaten on the break.
If you're talking about 'free-flowing attacking football' about anyone other than the very top teams, you're basically just waffling in clichés. The term simply just doesn't apply.
If Eddie Howe can organise a team and can ensure that the majority of players perform at something like their potential, he'll do absolutely fine.
Just a little bit of ball retention would be nice not really asking for much are we

Does whoever is representing the club get a turn to speak ?
No wonder they've kicked the can so far down the road over the last year or so, he'd talk a glass eye to sleep

I long for the day when Bruce receives the same treatment that Pardew got when he couldn't leave the dugout
Truly magnificent to witness and i reckon it won't be too long before it happens again with Bruce

How refreshing would it be for this new brand/partnership to launch the strips/training gear at affordable price especially geared towards the kids. The prices generally as shown with the England gear is an absolute rip off and quite frankly a piss take!

Who would play Mike Ashley?
Mike Brewer

So he's basically said he may release something to his mate Liam by Friday but if he doesn't it's good news
Sounds a bit too familiar like so many that have come before in covering all angles
Fair play to what he's trying to do and I've tried to stay positive but fuck me this is painful

got a message saying he was gone and had agreed £1.7m compen, apparently came from an agent.
Looks like it was bollocks though, sadly.
cheers mate, you would like to think common sense would prevail by doing exactly that but we are talking about an Ashley run club surrounded by imbeciles. I really do hope this happens over the next few days it's our only hope to give us a chance of staying up

No wonder the clown is always wearing an old school binman jacket then!

PIF and Qatar joint ownership. One big happy family.
Can just see Bein Sports as our main shirt sponsor now
-

We so desperately need a midfielder who sores goals at present we have less than half a dozen goals a season in our midfield
It's shocking and easily the worst in the division by a mile on goals return
how much would a modern day Rob Lee cost?

Taking my boy to braga for his 1st match and there was no booking fees on that. Took forever as said 4 tickets purchased for the harper game

This story is gagging for some new revelations or some progress one way or the other.
Like him handing in a transfer request!

Then again nothing would surprise you with these jokers in charge
