Pardew said during the phone-in that they are having difficulties because the agent is based in Argentina, hard to track down, and doesn't speak English.

Enough with this talk how Stoke are going to hurt us. The question is how are we going to hurt them?
HBA won´t cope with Stoke´s style of play, but Stoke won´t cope with HBA´s style of play.
Stay positive.

Marveaux is a much better player right now from what I've seen, can't argue with that.
He's a much better player technically but whether he'll provide as much work down the right flank all game is another question. He seems more of a forward type than a genuine wide man which may be why Pardew prefers Obertan, who for all the criticism does run up and down for 90 mins, if not very incisively at times.
well it´s hard to know because HE NEVER GETS THE CHANCE TO PLAY
-
Routledge just about to come on for Swansea. Haven't seen him play since he left us so I'm curious to see how he copes.
He´s been good. Played a lot in the middle
-
Wished people just stooped moan every freaking time about the team selection, especially when we start a team that still hasn´t lost. Very enjoying indeed.
(and now can Best win me some money)

Routledge injured or have even Swansea sussed he's not up to this league?
He has never been the first choice, only played when injuries and suspensions.
Please win Swansea!

Sir John Hall:
“The meeting with the Malaysians went well but they wanted 6 weeks to do due diligence. The offer from the other party at Freshfields waived that right and was a better deal. I was told that the man behind the deal was Mike Ashley and I sat with his representatives over 3 days thrashing out a deal.
“I was keen to know why they wanted the club and they were quite honest. They wanted to market their sports goods in the Far East and would use the club to help do this.”
If somebody should care one bit in the east you has to have a good and successive team, so thats bodes well.

Sorry Pip and everyone else, but that was NOT a good post. Spending more money, on what? Phil Brown?
Of course we could do with a few more players but the "Freddy did it right in this aspect"
Crap post. But you can only wonder why the stadium isn´t full. But if it´s just because a lacking of a "M.Owen", then sorry folks. The fans would just be stupid, just stupid.
Crap post
A lot of people (fans) have a tight economy at this time. Not many thought we would be 4th after 8-9 games into the season. Now when things are on the up im sure more will come to our (home)games.
I agree big signings can course a higher attendance...but only if the team keeps winning. But lets say we had bought 2 superstars in the summer...maybe that would have sold some more tickets....but it would also have ruined the current strategy (transfers and squad) which i think is a good strategy for these though years.
I still think we have "big" names in our squad....as big as we can get them atm....and i prefer so much more to see the spirit these lads have then a team build around highearnes like Owen or kluivert for example.
yup. I was reacting because of the "logic";
more spending -> more attendance -> more money to the club
There is no logic for me. sure for a short period of time there may be some more people coming if we spend more money on bigger names. but spending more money with a higher attendance is the same as spending less money with a lower attendance.
My second though is that why can the fans just see the money we are spending and on what names? why would more people come if we spend more money with worse results then with less money spent with better results? sure, the opposite scenario could also be true, but why speculate when we know for sure that right now the second option is working?
It was this "logic" I didn´t agree with and it is this "logic" I have the most problems to understand.
I would also want to have more players. But the players should be the right ones to an acceptable cost. That would be the best for the club in many different aspects.

^ Yep.
With the increasing finances I hope we can be really strong in the transfer market and resist incoming bids. We really really need to keep most of the players and only if we receive crazy crazy money we should considered the bid. But then again we have players that even then shouldn´t be sold, players like Colo, Tiote, Cabaye, Arfa etc.

Why are we even bothering with Ranger?
well, he has a 5 years contract
-
£50m and I would pick up the phone
-
Are some people in here kidding me not starting Arfa against Wigan...wtf
-
haha, exactly my though as well. How freaking high can he reach when he jumps and raises his arms Never seen anything like it. He is just so tall and skinny, he looks funny in the goal, like a spider
-
We want drop any 4-4-2 with arfa. The fact is that Ba already is playing very deep like in a 4-4-1. We won´t see any different.
But I like the idea with playing two forwards against Wigan. But not the idea with arfa on the wing would rather play;
Marx Cab Tiote Jonas
Arfa
Ba
As people has said. he lost the ball a few times when you expect him to not. BUT wasn´t he just magical to find different positions and areas basically he didn´t do much. but still our game improved a lot with him on the field. think when he is 100 and he has started to get an understanding with the rest of the team
-
Oh boy, now I really start to be nervous. This match is going to be though to see through
-
This game can´t start soon enough. Gah!
-
1-1. That'll do me

YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
FUCK OFF SCUMS
-
would rather have smith tbh
I feel a bit sorry for Guthire. But if he wants to be a sub, like now, I definitely want to keep him. I like him because he can play football properly and while he isn´t good enough to be a starter, he is definitely good enough to be a good sub.

How the fuck did Sweden win
-
Serbia is losing...
-
If Sweden wins they will go through, otherwise it´s pretty much Denmark, Portugal.

Pieters with a wounder cross
Been really poor in general according to people on Twitter.
I don´t know, just a beauty of corss. It´s hard to multi-watch games and still special study a player

Barton is just so overrated, especially his free kicks.
