  1. Damnit, need the Barca fans to sign "oleyy, oleyy, you're shit".
  2. £35m on Anderson and Nani. Doesn't look like it was too well spent, as unless they improve signficantly they won't be replacing Scholes/Giggs in the next season or two.
  3. ManU deserve a right thrashing for starting with the team they did.
  4.  He does look tired compared to his usual self. A minute ago he was outpaced by Rooney, whereas normally he'd skip past and be away.
  5. What a phenomenal ball by Xavi. That's the definition of "peach of a ball".
  6. Rooney has been shit, but he's the type of striker that you don't want to write off - same applies to Ronaldo, although he was responsible for everything good ManU did in the first ten minutes so has done more than Rooney.
  7. Has happened a few times when they've played the top Spanish sides. Real Madrid with Redondo and then with Zidane/Ronaldo being the most memorable.
  8. Is that how you pronounce his name? Yaa Yaa Toure. Thought it was Yaya.
  9. How fucking fluid is Iniesta? Just drifts past players like they're not there.
  10. Ferdinand standing his ground against Henry there.
  11. The crossing is still not good enough though. Type of crossing that would be good if there weren't keepers or defenders intercepting it in the middle (as opposed to crossing it straight out of play, behind everyone, or into the first man).
  12. If Barca are playing at walking pace (i.e. as though they're tired, different to their normal pace) on purpose, they're asking to get bit in the arse.
  13. Nowhere near as bad as last year though. Last year's final was like watching scrappy schoolkids playing each other.
  14. They look a bit tired/laboured though. Barca that is.
  15. Messi sure has some strength in his legs. Vidic and co bouncing off him.
  16. ? You mean like when he scored a vital goal in the final against Arsenal? One goal doesn't negate him being a major disappointment in virtually every big game against Premiership sides though. He's obviously a world class forward, or was before the lengthy injuries, but he's let Barca down in some big games when it's mattered by fluffing good chances when they've come his way and usually putting in a poor performances overall.
  17. ManU have no excuses this time - Barca have four first team defenders missing. They'll be a disgrace to the words "beautiful game" if they camp the team bus in front of goal again when they should be showing no fear, particularly with the opposition's aforementioned problems. An open game would be what football needs, and I wouldn't care who won as long as it was an exciting, end-to-end game with a plethora of chances. If ManU do what they did last year, I hope they get stuffed in the last minute of the match like Chelsea.
  18. Is being a job-for-the-boys club such a bad thing? AC Milan are one. Their entire managerial structure is made up of former players and ex-legends. It works as long as the boys are competent.
  19. Have no clue about the playing standards of Morocco, Togo or Gabon, but on the face of it, Cameroon should qualify from their remaining five games. Therefore, he's clearly been sold the World Cup dream by the Cameroon coach. "Commit now and you'll be playing every game in the 2010 World Cup when we qualify, on the biggest stage any sport has to offer". What does this mean for us though, if anything? If you assume he does play in the 2010 World Cup, which is certainly a realistic possibility at this point in time (Reading's Andre Bikey seems to be a first choice centreback), then surely the ideal time to leave us will not be now, but after the tournament in South Africa? He's guaranteed a first team place with us which he may not get elsewhere, and at the same time, he might not attract the Arsenal's or ManU's at this point in time, so would it not be more prudent to wait a season in the hopes of having a good WC and then let the big boys fight over themselves to sign him? Too many possibilities to be worth getting excited about in all honesty, as he's still nailed on to leave, but at least there's an ever so slightly increased chance of him staying for now. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_FIFA_World_Cup_qualification_-_CAF_Third_Round Next two Cameroon games are June 7th and June 20th.
  20. http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/news/newsid=1062186.html#cameroon+call+defensive http://sports.yahoo.com/sow/news?slug=reu-worldafricacameroon_brief&prov=reuters&type=lgns Which explains it.
