The WolvesTV commentry seems live. It wasn't on but has just come on. No idea what will happen, though. Edit: live at the game now.

Burnley now 1-1
-
As other have said, 1-0. Forrest has been called-off due to a waterlogged pitch. Burnley are losing 1-0. Damn, beten to it by seconds.

Looks to be a fairly attacking lineup. Guess it's 'go for it' and why not.

NEWCASTLE UNITED AND THE AWAKENING OF A GREAT Google translated
-
It regularly wins multiple goals to nill. The current goal difference is 61. The nearest to that is 23. I think the reason is the other clubs have a first team and then ... sparse (different age teams etc.) They obviously have development teams, or we couldn't play them, but ours is much bigger. It's players seem to be drawn from a clear pool as well ... e.g Park View Academy. Being a north east exile (Cullercoats originally), I am unfamiliar with the set up here but it crops up with players regularly on Twitter. Someone probably knows more.

A lot of our player have played for Sunderland. I agree that WSL players should / and probably will, given the last two season's recruitment, be our aim. However, players like KB made their debut for Sunderland (admittably young and in the WSL) and, I guess, we wouldn't turn our nose up at that type of player, with potential. As for the level in the Championship, it's pretty high for the top few - which has to be our aim. There will always be teams that have just come down from the WSL (and teams that want to get back there). Years ago, I coached teams and all you had to do was train more. That's long gone. Even girls of 8/9 are training with Manchester United and Manchester City etc. They have game skills / game awareness as well as physical skill. This, growing, 'game awareness' will be our next step up.

Extra time and penalties. Keeper was just being weird.
-
Seem so, from their social media.
-
By the way, Hashtag are second, behind Portsmouth, in their division. They did beat Portsmouth 1-0 but don't seem prolific goal scorers (except an 11-0 cup game).
-
Potts with almighty challenge(s), at the end, almost certainly preventing goal scoring opportunities. Though Portsmouth's passing past / around players was good. They were, largely, (except in the first few minutes) prevented from gaining anything from this. Was praying for KB to get in ... but her cross for the second one was class (as was the cross into her).
-
Also seems to be on official sight. I guess it wasn't announced to push up the gate figures. It's usually announced late anyway ... probably for the same reason.
-
As I think I've already said, I coached girls (and boys) for more than 25 years (including some who have gone on to play professionally), until I was forced to take ill-health retirement. I've had dads literally hide behind bushes to watch their daughter, because they were so reluctant to watch girls. The same dads watched their brothers no problem. Men are strange .. and I am one. That is nothing to say how ashamed their daughters were of them. I will say though, I had a good few come up to me, after the game, and say how much they enjoyed it and appear from the bushes next time / help out with transport. Sure, it's not boy's / men's football but it has its own pleasure ... just like watching any game.

Forest ends 1-1...which is good.

Clarets+ is as infuriating as the Official Newcastle site. I've learned more about doing makeup on TicTok live than I'd care to know, as well.
-
The live link on TicToc seem to be. You have to be logged in. No luck on Clarets+

Thankfully 16 of those goals are hers. 15 of the others are one player as well, Sophie Quirk.
-
Table It's done us the world of good. This, and last week's result, make Forest real rivals for the title, though - hardly surprising given their position last season.
-
New forward Beth Lumsden, joining from Postsmouth.
-
As someone else said, long balls to the right wing are usually fruitful for us. Manchester United have enough pace on that wing to be nullifying it though. Their pace on their right wing is undoing us as well.
-
That's Kenja from Fans TV ... or, at least, it usually is.

Quite a few of the new recruits have played at that level, or above, in the past. Some of the younger players have played at that level, or above, and 'come down' to Newcastle. The key would not be the 'hang in', as the present players would probably survive in the division (just) but they aim to win it and be in the WSL (which the current squad would be unlikely to do). Sunderland beat them in pre-season. There will be, no doubt, new recruitment if they go up, as there was last year.
-
I agree about the jump in class to the Championship, where the current team will not be able to pin teams back. We'll see that, I guess, against (WSL) Manchester United. Still, I expect any gaps will be filled when / if we go up.
-
I think their was only really a 'problem' at the other end in the last game. The tally this season is 34 for: 4 against (and three of these were in that last game). The problem seemed to be playing three in defence against two pacy wingers (and wonder goals / missed tackles, that are rarely going to happen). On the other hand, a g.f. of 34 suggests little problem at the other end (unless Galloway is injured). In that senario, we'll still score goals but the league could come down to g.d. (though Burnely's g.d. is 17, playing one game less).
