Aston Villa v Newcastle This is a very important game for Villa, who I thought were decent in their draw at Everton last week. I am not a believer in saying that a team is 'too good to go down' but Gerard Houllier has so many matchwinners that I am convinced they will be fine. Newcastle have been a bit up and down on the road, and I think teams think they can get at them. You have to think Villa will get at least a couple of goals here. It was interesting to hear about Magpies midfielder Joey Barton claiming in midweek that he is the best midfielder in England. Good on him, and I don't mind things like that because he genuinely believes it - but, although he has had a really good season, I don't think he should be in the England team. Prediction: 2-1
  3. Yep. The 'group of lads' is at a pivotal point at the moment, with the Nolan, Barton and Enrique situations. Our team spirit could very easily collapse with the loss of one or two of those. We need to reward this squad for what it has achieved and use it ad a springboard for the future. Ian he was sarcastic on the matter....
  4. Joey Barton: "If this cold doesn’t clear up I might become a little bit feminine & wear a snood" http://fourfourtwo.com/interviews/webexclusives/342/article.aspx More of Joey from 442... this guy is killin me
  5. Shocking Pardew was thinking Perch as a holding midfielder...
  6. When you think Barry is playing in a much better team with lots of stars... he is s***.
  7. Kevin Nolan in talks over new contract at NUFC Read More http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newcastle-united/nufc-news/2011/04/07/kevin-nolan-in-talks-over-new-contract-at-nufc-72703-28477295/#ixzz1IqBCct47 Deserved in my opinion he will give us two more season of his current run and it is good to reward some one who done real good in the last two seasons. Barton also hinted today it is key Nolan to be given a new contract.
  8. 100% agree with this, even stoke get addidas shirts! Some people complain for the sake of complaining...
  9. THEY'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD Nice title that!
  10. Not a solid team by any standard but it is easy to go over the weekend and it is always cheap to buy a plan ticket to Florida...
  11. So had he took over from big Sam and if we were the one who played Real Madrid yesterday night and lost 4-0 are you guys complain?
  12. I think we dont wait long this year since we don't have binding contract with another manufacture. I assume the team wear this or another new one at the last game against WBA....
  13. I would love it and I will defiantly buy it.... I am pretty sure we will be anything but success with this jersy....

  17. nice stuff from Crew site... The Columbus Crew announced today that it will play host to an international exhibition against Newcastle United FC of the English Premier League on Tuesday, July 26, at Crew Stadium. The game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. and be classified as ‘Special Game A’ for Crew Soccer Nation Gold members. Individual advance ticket prices start at $24 and will go on sale Wednesday, April 20, at 10 a.m., at the Crew Stadium Box Office, all central Ohio Ticketmaster retail locations, via Ticketmaster phone at 1-800-745-3000 and on-line at TheCrew.com, following the completion of an exclusive presale offer to Crew Soccer Nation members. Brokered by Santio Sports and Entertainment, the match will mark the second time that Newcastle has played at Crew Stadium. The teams played to a 2-2 draw on July 26, 2000, a game in which Jeff Cunningham scored the equalizer for the Crew in the 84th minute. The Crew is 9-3-2 all-time in international exhibitions, including 2-2-2 against teams from the English Premier League. The Black & Gold downed Leeds, 2-1, in 1997; defeated Fulham, 2-1, in 2005; tied Everton, 1-1, in 2006; lost to Aston Villa, 3-1, in 2007; and fell to West Ham, 3-1, in 2008. “We are pleased once again to bring top-flight international soccer right here to Columbus and to provide the best competitive challenge for our team,” said Crew President & General Manager Mark McCullers. “The English Premier League is arguably the best league in the world and Newcastle United is one of its most storied clubs.” Newcastle United, commonly referred to as The Magpies and The Toon, has a long history at the top level of professional soccer in England, dating back to their origins as a club in 1892. Newcastle’s legacy includes such iconic players as Peter Beardsley, Alan Shearer and Andy Cole in recent generations. The four-time first division champions have also won six FA Cups and the European Fairs Cup in 1969. The club is well-known in the modern era of European competition, having also advanced to the semifinals of the 2003-04 UEFA Cup and advancing out of the group stage in the 2002-03 UEFA Champions League. The club is led by manager Alan Pardew and captain Kevin Nolan, the 2010 Championship Player of the Year and the team's leading goal scorer this season. The first-team squad features several internationally-recognized stars, including midfielder Cheik Tiote, Argentine internationals Fabricio Collocini and Jonas Gutierrez, and longtime goalkeeper Steve Harper. Newcastle's 2011 campaign has seen the club compete with some of the top teams in the English Premier League, beating Liverpool 3-1 and Arsenal 1-0 at Emirates Stadium, as well as earning points in draws against Chelsea and Arsenal, the latter of which came in a historic four-goal comeback in February. Newcastle currently sits in 9th place in the EPL table with a 10-12-9 record and 39 points.
  18. There has to be one game sandwiched between this two..... on that weekend.....
  19. I was thinking the same for Richardson but it will be to light with Guthrie. Once Tiote is back I will give some time for Richardson to see what he is capable of.
