Disney man. He has kids.

 I wasn't cool with going to Florida even when they dangled Disney when I was a kid. An ex-con in a Goofie suit couldn’t make up for having to leave Hawaii for that fever swamp for two months every year.

  2. Why would anyone who isn’t a peasant from the hills of Kentucky or Ogre from Revenge of the Nerds go to Florida on holiday? I’m dreading spending another month there for work  in July.

I’ll keep screaming it. Net spend is a poor figure to judge how a club should perform.

    wages is #1.
    squad cost is #2.

we finished 4th while being 7th and 8th on this list.

We finished 7th this season while being no higher then 7th on both of those criteria.

I think you're screaming into the vaccum of space when it comes to one or two on here. But good point nonetheless.

I’d listen to offers for anyone other than:

    Isak

    Bruno

    Gordon

    Tino

    Hall

    Sven

    Tonali

Obviously happy to see others stay, but wouldn’t be gutted to see them go either.

Not Joelinton for me. He's more valuable to us than he might be to others fighting for the top 4.

Said it before, the emotional damage in our fanbase is so noticeable like.

:lol:My buddy who lived underground for almost a year as Hiftar's forces hunted him is coping with his PTSD better than a few on here.

I suppose it is apt for us to end a season with many kicks in the teeth without a reprieve. It was in our hands to finish sixth, so we should own this setback more than the others.

If Ten Hag is sacked then that's two managers out of three in the other European competitions who lost their jobs. A bit batty really.

Also two trophies and CL and Europa qualification for Ten Hag in these two seasons would mean more than Klopp no? Minus goal difference or no minus goal difference.

I think people may have been more gutted if we got sixth and ended up with ECL.

  7. if it's a potentially good signing being reported on Sky News, a few people will torpedo it immediately. But if it's about Bruno's entourage peddling him from fakenews.com, a few people pipe in with the "worrying". Ashley truly did break us.

Not the majority, certainly a smaller minority but once things started to unravel there were big questions being asked and "Howe is on thin ice" seemed to be mentioned alot around here. Now, as far as the fanbase not on here? I, unfortunately for me, do not live in Newcastle or even England so not sure. You might be 100% right, I would hope you would be.

Ronaldo is like a WWE referee on here. There are 3 or 4 usual suspects on this forum. Certainly not even a sizable majority though. They just post a lot.

  9. Yeah, I suspect that we are going to have a barnstorming one. Ended the season on a relatively high note when it looked fairly grim a few months ago. Big summer ahead, but I think this was a very useful lesson for the club. We're in good hands.

 It's not exactly a new term. Wearing your hat backwards was around when I was in high school and it was lame then.

    Miserable auld bugger. ??? :D

It is a horrible term. Meant to be used by frat boys to signal to the rest of the world that they're absolute tools.

I guess this is why Howe replaced Dubravka with Pope the first chance he got two summers ago? He's just so loyal to Dubravka. He's so stupid. What a stupid manager.

Pope isn't starting because he obviously isn't ready to. But he's on the bench because even a half-fit Pope is a better option than the reserve goalies.

People out there thinking he just doesn't want to play Pope. Absolutely batshit.

they do this with everyone though.

Insulting this group of players like that is just on another level of entitled stupidity. isn't it? nemtizz seriously needs to get a grip.

I have my opinion nothing more. If it's that unpleasant (as for anyone else) you're more than welcome to put me on ignore. After all you're just a person on a message board who I'll nearly certainly never meet face to face. I'm not some whistleblower, all I'm saying is that in my opinion he will be under massive pressure and then what happens is that some spit their dummies out instead of actually trying to give their opinion on why they think that is not the case. It was the same with Rafa also when he was manager.

I never had a reason to block you, man. I have no problems with you. I just think that some of your comments here have been full of hubris.

you don’t need to stoop to calling people sheep or claiming that you have your finger on the pulse of reality while everyone else is clueless. It’s part of some of the most annoying social media tropes, and it doesn’t help your otherwise valid argument at all.

I don't understand why some of you get so rattled when it's pointed out that he might be under some pressure right now and heading into the next season. He's not your dad you know? He's had a tough and difficult season having to deal with so many injuries and the Tonali situation and has done reasonably well all things considered.

There's been some amazing games and there's been some abysmal ones. It is what it is. The business is absolutely ruthless. Just look at other clubs in the country.

I'm certain if we can keep injuries at bay and shift some of the deadwood in the squad, he will have a truly excellent season again. Time will tell.

It’s not unreasonable at all, but it doesn’t help when posters post it with such blatant hubris, and often fail to admit the times they themselves have been wrong.

I just call out obvious errors. He will be given next season and rightly so. He will be under pressure though as European football is essential to the owners plans of getting the club to assist with revenue for FFP. That's just a fact and it's certainly not brainless or outspoken to say that

It’s idiotic to say what you said before this. You haven’t shown any brilliant powers of prognostication, nor has anyone else here really. You are not some brave whistleblower telling us the hard truths. You are in the pool with the rest of us peasants, but just sometimes make the experience unpleasant for everyone. That’s all.

You're we the last person I would take any notice of

As evidenced by this response to a post of mine.

No I just see things as they really are, people like you defending no matter what and when you're called out you spit your dummies out

This is just fucking idiotic and I know you’re better than that, man. Once again, it is absolute hubris for you to be so confident  that you see how it really is while others are totally wrong.

you are just a cynic at times, man. All that means is that you are likely more miserable getting to some end result.

    And here are the sheep

You know you’ve lost when you refer to someone as a sheep like incels and conspirituality nuts regularly do.
