  1. I managed to get one on eBay a couple of years ago. I always remember the advert with it in the 87/88 programmes. What other 80's delights did your mam drop off??
  2. Had this as 8/9 year old, so always fond of this. As well as the collar being too 'high', sleeves are too short
  3. Without checking, I'm sure the original had better detail than this, mainly the castle behind the magpie and it said 'Newcastle United' in the banner
  4. It didn't top the original but it's a massively underrated shirt. Possibly best away kit of recent times
  5. I think it would be absolutely hilarious if it looked nothing like the leaks or has one or two obvious differences. All those people on eBay flogging DH Gate copies at £25 a pop will hopefully have a lot of stock that won't sell. No Issue with DH Gate but so easy to just buy one yourself at £14 each.
  6. From the old black and white videos wasn't it? Strange looking at Venison and Hottiger in the away kit as they were sold before the start of the season so never actually wore it competively.
  7. It's true that a lot of people are misty eyes about adidas. As has been said, a lot of fond memories with the early home kits but towards the end, we just had standard templates with different colours. Quality of material was very good but these kits below could have been for any team: Not really colours you'd associate with NUFC except maybe silver. Very surprised adidas never did a yellow and green. And this one is one of the worst home kits, even ignoring the fact it was an awful season. Adidas don't tend to have full stripes on the back either but yes a huge uplift on Castore and it's exciting to see what they will come up with
  8. 40th Anniversary of when the 83/84 kit was released
  9. They rightly asked the questions of Ashley, where's the money gone and how much did Sports Direct pay for advertising. But how much do Phoenix Taxis pay to advertise? They are making a fortune from the Patreon subscribers. Where does all that money go? 885 subscribers at the moment. That's around £7k a month before Patreon take off their fees. And whilst I'm on a TF rant, like, can someone, like, tell that Kyle they have on, like, sometimes that he doesn't have to like, say the word like, every sentence, like. I have to say I've bought the fanzine since issue 1, used to be a subscriber and listen to their free podcasts that I generally enjoy listening to (although i do roll my eyes when i see Charlotte is on again) but some things have always knarked me.
  10. Totally agree with the above comments. Perk of the job? Deffo. But getting an additional three tickets? Fair enough for partner or kids but two of them are just to their mates.
  11. Someone I know from work wife works at the NuCastle complex. He showed me a screenshot of 4 season tickets he wife acquired in the Milburn Stand paddocks for a grand total of £800! This doesn't sit right with me that club employees are getting massively discounted season tickets before any announcement is being made.
  12. Sadly a common trend now where most away shirts have the badge to match the colour scheme. Partly cheaper to mass produce with limited colours but yeah, the badge is the badge and it should be as it is on all shirts
  13. Getting sick of his celebration though. Fans criticism is justified
  14. My old ones the same. Are they wearing fakes? Must be size. Was even the case for the players. Quite clear in the team photo Large and upwards has the logo and badge within a stripe, small and medium have them in the middle of two stripes. Simple shiz
