  1. What do all the season ticket holders think about this news? Excited about watching that team week in week out?

False promises are Newcastle's strong point. Anyone expecting a massive change in summer? Well you're setting yourselves up for a fall.

I pay for a season ticket to watch the team I support.

If KK can get us playing well with these players (he'll certainly be able to get us playing BETTER), then I'm happy. I only want us to sign players who will really improve us, and no-one (barring Woodgate and Anelka) have moved in this window that would improve us.

And besides, we're not as bad as the doom mongers on here will have you believe.

Well said, thats what i think, it'd only be Woodgate and Anelka who would fit the criterai that Keegan was after who would improve us, people are getting so negative because we havent signed Johnny Foriegner but Keegan has said from the start that not what he's after.  Thats 2 players in a whole month who would of been suitable for us, and both went to clubs in infinitely better situations then us.

If he gets us playing a like a team, then that would be a major improvement and better than any signing we could potetially of made. Thats the most important thing.

Wait for summer, thats when we'll see the money.

  2. Im sure this summer will be big, im dissappointed with this window, but not surprised,as for going down, looks possible but wont happen, we are playing football and our superior qulaity to temas lower than us will get us throught. Thereare realy only 2 relegation places left, and i cant see us being the worst out oflot of them, even though we are on the worst run out the lot, as soonas we get that first win, things will come to us.

  3. so 2017 we should see some chelsea players make their professional debuts with the club. i suspect that chelsea can talk a good game about signing all these young players, but the true best and brightest won't sign with a club that has shown they don't look to their young players to fill in gaps in the squad.

Not quite, by 2017(or whenever it is) they wont be looking to rely on Abramovichs billions meaning thy will invest using there own money, meaning they need to be able to spend as much as they have been. The days of £70m spent in one window will disappear, that to me suggests they will rely more on there youth as well as reasonable financial power. They have brought a lot in youth.

By that time, they wont have the fiancila power to spend whatever they want on whatever player, how do you think investing youth will help them out when those times come?

  4. A  lot of people wanting a new forward when we havent seen the centre forwards we have play in a comfortable system which suits them.

I think the absolutely vital positions we need as an absolute minimum, in order of importances is

    DM

    RW

    AM

That would be an absolute minimum that we desperately need, alto of what other people are saying are positions which we have but need improvingon, which arent vital in my opinion.

After those 3 positions are filled then i would look at the CB and finally, the CF if the players we have arent prodcuing by then.

  5. I am very happy with the new set up and emphasis on youth, but my concern is do we have the coaches to bring the best out of the youngplayers, arsenal have a superior set of coaches and a superior scouting network to ours, i dont belive it will take that long to get a set up to match arsenals, Chelsea did it in a couple of years.

My main concern though is that nufc have a history of not getting the best out of there younger players and blooding them too early, if you look at the youth that arsenal have brought in, they are usually close to being the complete level headed article on the pitch because Wenger only makes sure they play when they are ready, there arent many mistakes made by Arsenal players which are attributed to "being inexperienced" that to me is not down to the players being superior, but because the coaching is close to perfect.

chelsea did what exactly? whenever they need a player to fill in for an injured one they go to the transfer market and buy.

Chelsea have a very good youth set up and have been gearing themselves towards bringin inthe best youth for along time, they stole the priceless Frank Arnesen off Supds. They have said that they are looking to be a self sufficient club by the year 2017(?) meaning they wont have to rely on Abramovichs Billions.

  6. What pissed me off most about this and alot of other performances, is there is absolutley no movement in midfiled, i thought Duff was really good tonight, there is absolutley no movement in that midfield though, everytime i saw someone with the ball most of the players would run away looking for space they wouldnt find, when arsenal had the ball, 2 to 3 players would move to the ball. It just looked so simple, i dont understand how we cant instil that.

  7. Bytheway theres a snippet in the Daily Mail *spit* where Jewell is quoted saying ": "When I see other players leaving for £4million or £5million what we want for Giles Barnes is not unreasonable."

That to me would suggest that he wants around that or more but not less.

Would be happy with the signing, watching him play in the championship last year he looked like a good mix of pennant and dyer. Would be happy with him to be fair.

  8. What has Roz done wrong so far? Zog is getting abused, what really fucks me off with this side is that when someone has the ball no one fucking moves, no one wants the ball, have a look at arsenal and 2 or 3 people will come looking for the ball, with us 1 will come for the ball if we're lucky the others will run away looking for space they wont find.

Its so basic to have good movement, am i the only one who sees it, surely it cant be that hard to get your team to move.

  9. To be honest, im ok with that formation, i think it'll be better than last saturday, you have 2 DM who will protect the defence well and you have 2 attacking wing backs who like to get forward. Zog will cause big problems for there right back (Flamini?) Duff and Zog link up really well when they played against Man City.

  10. There seem to be quie a few people at Derby whodont rate him that highly, thats worrying for me, im hoping that with more posession he'd show more ability then he has done at derby, a year ago he was possibly worth £6m but now he's not worth that, i'd pay £4m max.

He was a real talent last year, single-handedly winning them games on more than one occassion. This year, he's playing in one of the worst teams in Premiership history, and he's not nearly good enough to single-handedly make a mark, like he could do last season. Derby fans were expecting him to blossom and take the Premiership by storm, but he hasn't (and not all of that is his fault), and they're disappointed with him.

He'd be a good signing, i'd be thrilled to see him come in.

Yeh so would i, think he'd be a good player for us, by the sounds of it he isnt being used in a position that suits him. Would like to take o gamble on him to be honest. Would be the right blend of youth and forst team the Mort would go for.

  11. Reasonably happy with this set up, its a pro active set up whihc is always good.

My only concerns are how Keegans ego will be effected by this, i think its fair to say that by the looks of it, his importance to the club isnt as high as it would be were he on his own, can he handle being "just a cog" as someone put it? It'd be interesting to know what Keegans input in all this will be, where is the balance of power?

My other concern is with the transfers? Its the only grey area i see, will there come a stage where someone doesnt agree with a sigining that keegan may want to make, if so, what would happen?
