Played the group stages of the Champions League with a team made up with a large number of players previously not considered good enough for the Premier League.

Trippier was injured and Gordon missed training yesterday.

Think some people are forgetting how well Burn did alongside Schar in the second half of the 21/22 season.
-
Honestly think that prior to the mistake for the 1st goal it was going to end up 0-0, that then sucked any life out of us and caused the other goals. Move on.

Sometimes takes a while after a defeat to realise this place isn't real life & thankfully Howe it's taking tips from it.

Does being an Adidas elite club mean we'll have long sleeved shirt options?

A reminder - this manager arrived a year and two weeks ago, and took a team that was 17th, and only not 18th on goal difference and turned it into this.

All results currently going against us. Perfect.
Good job the league is settled after 15 games.

Club shop inside Fenwicks shortly then.

Judging by his Instagram he's back out on the sand at least, next stop grass.

Listening to the Rambles reaction to last night. Pete is a truly awful representation of our fanbase. Thought it was the law that it was a pen and dismissed Lewis Miley's performance saying he was thrown in at the deep end and it showed.
Do we actually have anyone across fans any podcasts that represent the fanbase well?
BBC's own John Murray also thought it was the law and that PSG should've scored anyway so it was fine. I assume although brought up in Northumberland he's a bitter Middlesbrough supporter from his time working at BBC Teeside.

There's the odd moment when you forget just how fucking brilliant this bloke is & then the moment of realisation again sticks a little smile on your face.

Post deleted. What did it say?
Basically some WUM shit that he had heard from someone at a car dealership that Tonali had tried to buy a car with 3 different cards and each one was declined. The club player liaison & his agent had said something about how under no circumstance was he (Tonali( allowed any access to funds. Basically a made up story that really wasn't worth any sort of attention that he would get from it.

Villa pretty much stayed up because of goal line technology failure.

Thought he was back on the grass?

Our central midfield options apart from Bruno all lack the ability to put their foot on the ball. Miley looks the best of the others in that area but obviously a massive ask for a 17 year old to do that in their first league start. It will be interesting to see if Eddie looks at the option of playing both Bruno & Miley at some point.

People will always shit the bed, I do worry at times how a certain section of our fan base make it through the week.

This could be pretty harsh as he's probably not even playing at 90% fitness but he has looked a level below the quality & possibly physicality required for the CL, it's a shame he's had to wait to this point in his career to get to it rather than 2-3 years ago.

Doubt it, was only back outside training yesterday, and that was with the physio.
Thought it would be classic Eddie for him to just pop up on the bench.

Any idea if Isak has traveled?

The Villa Talk weekend games thread is a brilliant read for our game.
Some gems include -
'Fabian Schar is the Newcastle James Collins, is a decent defender but would struggle to get in another top ten teams starting line up'
'They're a 2023 Stoke with unlimited money.'
'Obviously it's lovely for them they've found magical stamina juice as well. Comes with the unlimited money I suppose.'
'It looks to me like Eddie Howe’s “milkshakes” are giving Newcastle the energy to see this one out.'
Absolute delight to see them then with a bottle job against Forest yesterday.

You have to question the decision not to keep him around with our depth issues.
Not sure if serious

Had Amrabat's life for the time he was on the pitch.
