  1. But when he plays for England, he wont have that free role. What’s Foden’s position? LW? The screamer he scored against Man U was on the right side. He’ll be battling against full backs for England, something he’s not accustomed to. Gordon thrives on that. Foden will be physically smothered if he’s stuck on the left.

Didn't see the whole game, but what struck me was the difference between Premiership and Championship football.

What was it? Because on Fridays when I’m watching Champo football, it’s quick, it’s zippy, it’s technically brilliant. On Saturdays when I’m watching Premier League, it’s the battle of the tactics. This game may be an anomaly because of the stakes at hand. It became a cagey affair because it’s no one wants to make a mistake. It’s not usually like that.

  3. Gonna say it and I don’t care if anyone agrees but my front six for England is Rice Mainoo Bellingham, Gordon Kane Saka

Foden the lightweight powderpuff can hold bench. Never seen him take a player on like Gordon can does. System player to run into space. Perfect for Pep, not for Gareth.

yes Gareth is shit and should be able to find a role for Foden but since he is shit what’s the point of putting him on the left where he won’t contribute. Gordon’s a better player out there.

And yet he was a dreadful manager

That’s not what we’re talking about though. And of course he was. He’s a thug and a bully. But I don’t care about all that, if I hear good punditry, I hear good punditry no matter who it is.

  5. Also Deeney basically told Warnock to shit up today. Warnock went on about how “today’s game the goalkeepers are passing the ball to the centrebacks and bla bla” and Deeney said “it’s bot about you Neil” this is the way the game is played now. Analyze it. That’s your job at this current moment.

    He's a massive arsehole

He is! I hate him on a personal basis for his previous violent crimes where he was clearly the aggressor  but when he’s talking football, he’s talking sense. No cliches, he’s actually quite the complex pundit, talking about about how the defender made an error and how the attacker reacted. He’s a striker and seems to know the ins and outs of being such so seeing his enthusiasm for striking technique and movement is a breath of fresh air.

he’s not talking about “swaz tekkers” and laughing like a characature like Micah Richards. He’s talking football. That I can respect.

Chuffed for Adam Armstrong mind. Proper honest pro. Not the most gifted but seems like a genuinely decent boy. Hope he hasa nightmare at SJP like. ?

My first ever SJP experience fans were screaming “why are you bring him on? He’s 5’2”. Will never forget it.

Fair enough, all depends on how much of the division you watch. He's clearly got skill but his decision making has been honking here. Do you want us to sign him ?

Everton level. We’re in another stratosphere now.

Wonder if Leeds go up the Longstaff link might get stronger

35-40 mil. Six goals(And another in the CL) and two assists. They might be stupid enough to pay it.

Will be interesting to see what the Man Utd hierarchy do next. Personally think ETH has done a very good job under the circumstances (signings aside which most seemed massively flawed in their logic and price) as the club has been a bit of a circus.

If he can blend their youth teams (apparently doing very well) and the quartet of starlets in the current first team with a smattering of his better more experienced players I think he’s the right guy to stick with as clearly no mug.

Man Utd’s only problem is their impatience. They’ve always been better than they get credit for. Same as Chelsea. Just because you dislike a club it should never cloud your judgement over their teams ability. It’s going to be another hell of a battle for those top six spaces next season.

I don't think so. They still don't have a style of play and it's been two years. All of his signing were shite. 90 mil Antony didn't even touch the field today, 65 mil on Mount, Onana, the list goes on. They finished 8th behind us and we had more injuries than they did. Their Champions League performances were embarrassing and a reason why we won't be in the Conference next year. Least we gave the CL everything we had, they finished bottom and lost to Copenhagen. We finished on 5 points, they finished on four. They were shite throughout the season and just won a couple games when they realized the club they were representing. I don't think ETH had anything to do with it. I think "football heritage" played a part.
