The new owners have stitched him up like. Bet he like us thought we just needed to get to the window and we'd buy our way out of trouble, yet 16 days in and we're not much better off. Wood is backup to Wilson and Trippier, although a very good player, was in a position we weren't massively crying out for. Like everything the owners have done so far they've bumbled their way through it at a snails pace without any real understanding of the criticality of our position. I'm starting to see why Emery had reservations, they've got no clue on how to run a football club and we don't have time for them to skill up. They had a great chance to set the club on the correct path but its the pennywise pound foolishness which will see us down. It should have been so different.
Is this a joke? They’ve freed us of 14 years of absolute numbness. It’s always been clear the takeover took them by surprise as much as it did us. January transfer windows are notoriously difficult to recruit in, even more so when you’re second bottom. If anything, Howe has let them down. He got the gig, he had identified weaknesses etc etc but ultimately nothing has changed. He does need backed but I have no doubt that they are trying.
I’ll be forever grateful to all of them. Without them we are stuck with Ashley and Bruce. Yes they’ll make mistakes and yes they aren’t experts yet but they absolutely deserve our respect and the benefit of the doubt.

Absolutely amazing again yesterday. So grateful for everything they do.

I don't think I want Howe to be sacked but I think it is totally right that some questions are asked. At times the football has improved but sadly its a result business and we aren't getting. People will argue we play better football(?) and are more attacking (1 shot on target at home against Watford etc etc). I am well aware he doesn't have much to work with but playing devils advocate, why sack Bruce if its purely down to the players? (btw, I was desperate for Bruce to go and I am not suggesting he should have stayed).
Brentford at home - totally winnable, should have won but didn't, individual mistakes cost us - 2 points dropped
Arsenal away - a routine 2-0 defeat, didn't expect to win but never looked like winning
Norwich at home - started Clark for some reason, that decision sadly cost us a game we should have won - 2 points dropped
Burnley at home - job done, fair enough
Leicester away - went there with some hope of a point, absolutely abysmal performance
Liverpool away - expected defeat, played well tbf
Man City at home - expected defeat, done ok
Man Utd at home - played well, should have won but didn't, Wilson injury didn't help - still 2 points dropped
Cambridge at home - appalling, we lost at home in front of 52k fans against a league 1 side when we were desperate for a win and some confidence
Watford at home - poor, 1 shot on target at home against a team with 7 straight defeats, extremely poor after going 1 up - another 2 points dropped
I like Howe and I want him to do well but I think its right he is criticised. I'd love him to turn it round and maybe with the right backing he will but I'm not so sure anymore.

Another twat I absolutely hate. The absolute definition of stealing a living. Prick.
-
He’s so fucking bad. I hate the fact he’s a starter and somehow club captain. A truly awful CB.

Langley isn't in the U23 squad tonight.

Pay it. Sounds like he will improve us immensely. For comparisons, Harry Maguire cost 80m. 46m seems reasonable for somebody who’s so highly rated already with such great potential.

Fucking hell…
“If Mike Ashley and Steve Bruce had signed Chris Wood Newcastle goon army would be protesting at Downing Street (again) but because it’s 8th choice Eddie and Mohammed Bin Chopyaheadoff they are claiming it’s the new Shearer”
Someone literally sat on Twitter 24/7 doing a running commentary on all things NUFC and they lap it up.
That person needs whoever it is needs to seek a mental health specialist ASAP!
Haha I qualify in 6 months and by my almost professional reckoning they are beyond help!

Decent watch, nice reference to Shearer too.

Still maintain it’s a decent signing considering our current predicament. In for Saturday. Hope he does well.

3 goals this season. I get the feeling that wood is effective in that burnley system because of the defined way they play.
double figures in his previous 4 seasons though. You'd like to think with Trippier playing he would have even more chances.
-
Decent signing if one of two strikers IMO. Double figures in his last four seasons, can come straight in and weakens a relegation rival. He isn't a long term signing but would certainly be helpful right now.

He has a heart the size of a pea. He clearly doesn’t have the mentality for the situation we find ourselves in. I don’t think he even broke sweat when he came on. Looks like he’d rather be anywhere than NUFC.
