  1. As long as he gets his wage and plays for England he'll stay. Unless someone offers Europe or more money why bother? Earlier this year he was playing with the bairns, should think himself lucky.

  2. Unreal how this guy is not held to account like. People should be murdering him for some of the nonsense he talks. He'll win today. Can't see it happening any other way.

Nutted a player during a game ffs. Historic winless runs at every club he's been at. His quotes just this week. All brushed aside.

  3. Need a spine of solid players who probably should have a history or knowledge of playing with cloggers. Should just buy a mix of the best youngsters in the league with a bunch of reliable, productive older lads. Leadbitter has been in the team of year the past two seasons so it can't be too hard to find players.

  4. Can't see him at West Brom or Crystal Palace like. Despite everything Ashley has done to this club, we're still in a different league in terms of prestige.

I think we are as well, although I'm not sure how much that means these days. I just think if he's willing to come to Newcastle and potentially get relegated, he's willing to spend a season or two with teams like that for an easy life.

  5. I'm not saying he missed on purpose, but he was not 100% committed to scoring that. You will not convince me otherwise.

Pretty sure he took the ball off Wickham to take the pen himself like. Definitely looked like he wanted to score and then wheel away celebrating like an arsehole.

  6. Even if he wanted to stay on a personal level, professionally he is not going to go into the Championship less than a year after being Madrid manager. He want's to be at home, he can do that at a number of middle of the road clubs if he wants to. Clearly the quality of the team is second to his desire to be back in England otherwise he'd be somewhere else but if we go down, he will leave and get a job at West Brom or Palace or something similar unless the national job comes along.

  7. There's always loads of kids in the Hyena now days, which is why I personally don't go there any more but it's full of families and you shouldn't feel out of place. If you get there early enough you'll get a seat as well. You could also try the Grey.

  8. Statistically 7th best in terms of win percentage in the Prem era from what I read. Admittedly I have no idea who is below him to qualify the headline statistic.

Not that it will help him in the Championship.

  9. Does the business on the pitch, thats enough for me to like him. He also comes across decently whenever he's interviewed, he just has different personal opinions to us. He was there and we weren't after all

He's done brilliantly since coming in for Krul there's no doubt about that. He also seems to really care and seems a bit of a leader in the team which is great to see. Those that are at the matches, is he loud on the pitch? Does he organize his defenders better than Krul does?

Pretty certain he was the one giving the group talk in their huddle before the game.

  10. Like nothing I've seen at Newcastle so I don't see the sense in comparing him personally. A wonderful footballer. Should be scoring more goals mind.

He's got 9 league goals like.

Could easily end up on 15

This, he's a midfielder and has 9 league goals at just over the half way stage. There are strikers in this league who won't get that this season, disappointingly a few of them play for us.

Aye he's got 9 But you can't tell me he's not missed a hat full of really good chances in the last 6 or 7 games. I'm not saying he's doing poorly, I think he's brilliant, just commenting on what I've seen. It's a bit like Hatem, I could never truly criticise him because he was comfortably the best player out there but at the same time that raises the expectations and I've seen enough for Gini to think that he could be in double figures already. I imagine he's the sort of player who probably would agree with that himself. I don't think it's a negative to say someone is playing we'll but I think they can be even better.

  11. I've had the pleasure of watching him crawl around on his hands and knees twice for two matches in a row and yet I'm still reading people defending his ability as a footballer. Amazing.

Have we established why he replaced Dummett at left back?

  12. 12m is probably more than he's worth but who else is available and would come? If you look throughout the midfielders with premier league experience who would dramatically improve us they are few and far between. Jordy Clasie was 8m and I don't think hes played a game. Wasnt Joe Allen 20m? James Mcarther, Charlie Adam, I'm sure there are a few going for fees that hardly make this one outrageous.
