I don't think we are giving Ashley enough credit for his intelligence. Even in football terms. Footballers being paid or not should be absolutely in joy of having the capacity to play football week in week out. Especially in a competition such as the prem. Our players out there look like they are going through chores made by their wives.

To be fair to Pardew now, there's nothing he can say to his team at half time, 2 nil down, he's hardly going to tell us to attack that will lead to 4 or 5 or 6 goals down by full time in his mind. So I'm guessing more of the same in the second half.
