  1. I've gone through a rollercoaster of emotions since I first heard.  From disbelief, to anger, to frustration, to disappointment.  At the end of the day he messed up. He know's he messed up.  He is only 23 - even after 12 months he has still most of his career ahead of him. Anger isn't going to achieve anything - all we can do is get behind the lad.

    There's been no turn around.

He wasn't the player he is now when he was at Everton.  So I think there was.  Eddie saw the potential that 99% of people on here didn't see - including me.

  3. Gordon's turn around is just another shining example of what an utterly brilliant coach Eddie Howe is.  It is just ridiculous what his coaching has done to this squad.

Liverpool easily have the best attacking quality and depth in the league. Easy win today for them I think.

The fact they can leave a player like Nunez on the bench is scary.  I would love him at the toon.

Being banned from playing football (a game I assume they like playing) for long periods of time?

I would argue if they are still getting paid £100k a week it isn't enough of a deterrent.  Even a reduced wage - otherwise they are just basically getting paid to do nothing.

Why ? It’s done nothing of the sort to West Ham or Brentford why would we be any different?

We are already treading a fine line with FFP, we've not the deepest squad.  He was our star signing in the summer, and he's going to be missing for potentially a year.  Throw in his wages - if they pay them - that is quite a lot of cash on a player we don't have.  It's going to impact our ability to challenge on all front which in turn could impact our league form and our ability to get a CL spot. We'll probably have to go in the market to find a replacement in Jan which will take money away from strengthening another area.  Then thrown in the impact this could have on the squad, it's not good.

  7. I can't get over that AC Milan knew about what was going on and also Tonali knew it was coming. Newcastle are the fall guys here.  Betting on your own team in a game your playing in - no excuse. Surely we can't be paying his wages during the ban?

Don't see how it's £55m down the drain if he's banned for a year. It's hardly the end of his career.

Doesn't help us now though.  Could cost us the chance of getting a CL spot.

A little more info here from TalkSPORT who claim to have spoken to someone from the club

Shouldn't be a ban if he didn't bet on football.

This is where being the richest club in the world should come into play - appeal if they try to impose one.
