He was not afraid to die... Old brave sir Robin! As I expected this thread is going down fast. I am just here to wish everyone a good game and above of all, may all of you have good FUN watching this. -
I don't see much of a future here my friends. Same happens with us.

One of my favorite stadiums worldwide. Love his asymmetry.

Yeah, I agree. When Montenegro changed their formation in the second half, that should have given us an extra man in the midfield, but if you bang the ball over the heads then the advantage is lost. It reminded me of how we (ie NUFC) sometimes play (though not as often as before). The British disease is a lack of confidence in passing and retaining the ball under pressure. Although we do produce players with just as much skill as the continentals, our technical ability is often confined to half the team. If we're to achieve real fluency, all the players need to show some level of technical competence. It's not just a matter of confidence in your own ability, but in your team-mates as well. I lost count of the number of passes that went slightly behind a team-mate, because the passer wasn't confident about playing the ball into their stride. You see it so often. Lots of pressure? I think that in these qualifiers the players main objective is not to get hurt. Playing football like that is the first step to lose.

The latter. I'd prefer Newcastle to win a throw in than England to win the World Cup Yes. The last conversation we had about this is coming back to my mind!

LOL you should know that Bobby publicly said that when he was in Sporting his dream was to manage Benfica and it was a pain for him to live in a flat with a view directly to Estadio da Luz.

TBF you've got a point. Spain, Germany and Italy are a fair way ahead of the rest in Europe currently. England, France, whoever are all much of a muchness and would probably get turned over by any of the above more often than not. If England were playing a major tournament knock-out game against one of the countries in the category down from those 3 (say France, Netherlands, Portugal) I'd fancy us to crash out every time regardless of the team strength. I can not understand how can someone can desire such a thing to his home country. You are mistaking me Jotenko, I would not want that to happen - but that's what I think would happen. Oh ok. I understand everything now.

f*** you guys are even worse than portuguese fans! :mike: Here there's always the idea that the national team serves the interest of the most influent teams/business man, in order to promote the players they want to make business with.
