  1. That is even stronger cope than portuguese commentators.
  2. According to his fans because we have to be grateful.
  3. Thats what it is when we compare them with other available options for his position.
  4. What must be the spanish players thinking watching these performances from FRA POR ENG etc?
  5. He is getting old and bad and he is not called Cristiano. And there are better options.
  6. João Félix always has this expression like he just wants to be done with this thing to go home and play online with his friends.
  7. Your analysis is spot on. He is defended by an army of fans that know shit about football, yet defend him blindly. Football fans, even Sporting fans, recognize he is mostly a problem at this point. Having to be at a dinner table listening to hardcore CR7 fans - that know nothing about the sport - giving you lessons about football, is infuriating. At this point the whole situation is just a meme. Like when a dictator is losing a war but no one has the guts to tell him that. That is why I cant wait for this guy to retire.
  8. Obviously he is not. No natty gains the amount of lean mass he did when he went to Man Utd, in such a short amount of time.
  9. I was just typing that. It must be absolutely horrible. Not only that, they have to allign with the narrative of him still being the best in every communication to the outside. This narrative is underlined not only by the journalists but also by an army of fans that increase his ego, nevermind that most of them dont even watch a single football throughout the year but are very vocal while defending him at the dinner table. Every failed challenge is never Ronaldo fault as per the commentators or his deluded fans. Last game he headed a ball backwards and they were praising his jumping abilities. I understand the meme factor being funny but I am gutted that we destroy a fantastic generation because of him.
  10. Seriously? I though that that nonsense was exclusive to portuguese commentators.
  11. If the only problem was music after a goal... I moved out from Lisbon some years ago, so I stopped having an yearly ticket. I went back to Luz to watch a game this year. Things are way worse now. Before the match you can barely talk to the person next to you. It's all a big show of lights, fireworks, and insanely bad music (insanely loud too). When your team scores, the same thing happens. The fans are seen as brainless morons drooling at pretty lights and loud music. And maybe they are not wrong in seeing the fans that way, as I see more and more seats filled with people that are more concerned about taking an Instagram picture than with the club or the game itself, and looking down on others that are actually living the game (you know, singing, yelling, etc). Maybe this is just modern football and I'm getting old. I don't know how things are at St. James Park, I hope better than this.
  12. Belgium always manages to find a way to not win.
  13. France seems like your younger brother playing FIFA. Always presses the shooting button till the bar fills up.
  14. Yet he is the captain. CR7 is the captain of Portugal. Neymar is Brazil's. All have terrible captain profiles. Today it seems that the captain is chosen not if you actually have a leader profile, but rather by the amount of Instagram followers.
