  1. Those English fans dressed as XI century crusaders.
  2. Olmo is pure class. Dang. The way he recovered this ball in the side line.
  3. He has instructions to do that. To serve as an anchor (like a futsal's pivot) during counter attacks. Receive the ball with his back facing the opposition, wait, and then open the game on the wings. Problem is he isn't doing that very well.
  4. Kane's like he never recovered from the missed pen in WC 2022.
  5. If you manage to take this to half time at 0-0, Spain will start opening more spaces in the back for the counter during the second half. It's basically the same exact story of Portugal 2016 as I've already stated before. The game is progressing quite similarly as well. If Spain scores first, however, then England will have to assume the game and things will get very ugly.
  6. England are doing exactly what they need to do.
  7. May Lord Éder guide the English NT towards victory.
  8. I am just realizing how similar the path England is making to Portugal's 2016: - Plays horribly during the group stage and gets rewarded by finishing in the easier side of the bracket - 1/8 finals draw at normal time, wins at extra time with a header - 1/4 finals from 0-1 to 1-1 then win at PKs 5-3 - 1/2 finals finally wins during the 90 mins - Final against a stronger side in theory On top of this the Aljubarrota battle as well the Napoleonic battles fought in Portugal were basically Portugal+England vs Spain+France. Euro 2016 final: Portugal vs France Euro 2024 final: England vs Spain Its pretty obvious to me.
  9. Its unbelievable how Southgate's face can turn any war propaganda poster into a friendly "Visit the UK!" panflet.
  10. The endless host list.

    England

As a Portuguese living in the beach I can relate to everything that is written in there. Just dont shit on the English breakfast. Its great! There is a coffee down my street run by an old british couple that serves breakfasts every morning. Love it!
  12. I was re-reading that thread yesterday. Some of you were insulting me and/or asking for me to be banned, after the final whistle. Mike called me a "miserable emo" or whatever that was. And I didn't even post anything during the entire game/day.
  13. Foden was making a perfect game and Southgate cant allow that no sir!
  14. As per https://files.leagueathletics.com/Text/Documents/11116/28718.pdf (which seems to be directly taken from the official rules). Playing in a dangerous manner is defined as any action that, while trying to play the ball, threatens injury to someone (including the player himself). It is committed with an opponent nearby and prevents the opponent from playing the ball for fear of injury. A scissors or bicycle kick is permissible provided that, in the opinion of the referee, it is not dangerous to an opponent. Playing in a dangerous manner involves no physical contact between the players. If there is physical contact, the action becomes an offence punishable with a direct free kick or penalty kick. In the case of physical contact, the referee should carefully consider the high probability that misconduct has also been committed
  15. Yes, dangerous play is a passive challenge. That's the definition of dangerous play. It's a penalty.
  16. Defender puts the sole of his foot right in front where Kane is hitting the ball, almost at waist height. Kane hits the sole of the opponents foot. Clear pen.
  17. Dangerous challenge with contact? Penalty to me.
