If he arrives hope he doesn't upset the dressing room
Hopefully the players in our dressing room aren't so concerned about his looks like many on here seem to be.

What's everyone going in on Longstaff for, did I miss something
Misplaced a pass just like about all of our players so far. Easy target.

Under what rule could you make any argument for red?
It was like putting a foot out to stop a quick free kick. Yellow at most.
A red maybe as he wasn't even on the field. Too easy to ask your backroom staff or subs to get involved if the only consequence is a yellow card.

First time I've seen the Leeds keeper actually make some saves.

Amazing assist by Bamford

Regarding the hand ball incident. Surely if it knocks the ball out for a corner and stops it potentially reaching one of our players for a scoring opportunity then it has to be a pen. A bit like the one last year away to arsenal .

Wood gets an 8. Drawing that foul is one of the best thing he's done since joining. Love the guy.

Loved him at RW.
Thanks Alan.
Was going to say Mcmanaman ruined his career with that tackle only to realise it was on Haidara . Think Santon scored a late goal in that game playing RW

Think offsides should only be measured from position of the feet as well.
If an attacker reacts to a pass quicker than a defender and that reaction starts from the same starting point as the defender then why should he be penalised because his head and part of his arm in infront?
What happens if the defender is lying on the ground?

Not linked to VAR but have just seen that Garth Crooks is having a dig at Neves regarding his post match interview last week. Nice to see. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/62789529

Why?
We'd be complaining how the manager cost us 2 points because he forgot to appeal against the fact a throw in was taken in the wrong position or because the ball wasn't on the 6 yard box line when a goal kick was taken.

VAR should be done remotely by independent referees who aren’t in a room together and who have no context of the original call or the match score. Just get sent a clip to review and vote on the outcome.
10 referees or so, majority wins.
At the end of each game they need to do a write up giving their perspective of each event they judged, which can be publicly viewed.
Who decides what needs to be reviewed?

West Ham's is worse than ours, but there's not a great deal in it. There are no plausible explanations beyond gross incompetence or corruption.
Not sure there. Ours was so dodgy that the commentator even said as the the referee was walking over to the monitor that the goal would stand and the ref was going to stick with the on field decision. Never heard that from commentators in the past, they usually say that the ref is going to change the on field decision as soon as they walk over to take a look at it.

We were time waisting in injury time. Hardly surprising the ref was going to add a couple more minutes.

Gotta love RTG...
"One thing is for sure, the last 24 hours has shocked the football world with major players and pundits already voicing their disbelief at Neil’s decision. Even Darren Huckerby, who has nothing to do with Sunderland has stated his disbelief. We aren’t alone in being totally shocked by this."
Footballing world = Darren Huckerby
Well he is an English legend https://youtu.be/-B6ucoSoIy4

And you're basing their downfall on absolutely nothing. They've just tied Mbappé down to huge deal, are investing in young upcoming players cause their previous strategy hasn't exactly paid off (still made it to a CL final), they're hosting a World Cup in a few months and have developed a load of business all across France on the back of them purchasing the club. Don't think their plan was to be profitable on a football front. They'll be fine and so will the French league as long as they keep selling players like Bruno and Botman to rich premier league clubs.

So a better chance to compete for the CL at Newcastle in near future for Hugo?
Deluded Geordies not so inaccurate.
The whole French League is going bust apparently cause PSG have decided to invest their millions in youth.
