Yeah, as in the champions league, when they won’t have any decent players to get anywhere near competing for it, like Scottish teams.
Not like the French league is known for producing some of the best talent out there.

Daily mail. Not reading that shite. He'll be fine at PSG they're not going bust anytime soon.

I'm not. First off - Ligue 1 is finished- the league is broke. It's no competition for PSG and in time Qatar will move their focus to the Premier League. Secondly he'd developed far more playing for Howe in the Premier League than he will being bench fodder in Ligue 1. So I stand by my comment.
He'll get way more playing time at PSG than he probably would have gotten here. Why is Ligue 1 finished btw?

Lyon have just signed a Moroccan left back called Ashraf Laaziri.

Paqueta, Diaby, Etikite and Botman potentially could be like the 2001/02 year where signing Laurent Robert, Craig Bellamy, Distin and Jenas took us from 11th to 4th
Matt Targett ---> Robbie Elliot

Has Alonso from Chelsea Benn mentioned?

Bruno’s having it out in French on Twitter with a Lyon Twitter page that’s saying he wanted to leave the club in 2020 after only being there for a few months. He’s defending himself like a good lad. The way he’s writing it doesn’t come across like someone’s writing on his behalf, sounds like him

I agree on big fees just not big wages, its much harder/slower moving to move upwards in the wage bracket than it is with transfer fees. It wouldnt be crazy to see a 150m+ spend this summer as we need big upgrades in expensive positions (ST, RW, DM/CM), the first 1 or 2 signings will be exciting to say the least as it will give us a real idea of the type of players they have been looking at.
Big fees come with big wages (upwards of 120k). Nowhere has Eddie Howe mentioned that we would never spend big on wages. It's inevitably going to happen if we 're among the top spenders every transfer window.

Not crazy but its unreasonable to expect it I think, for this summer anyway.
We spent 90 mil in January when everybody said it would only be 50. We splashed out on a player like Bruno. I'm sure the owners will be wanting more transfers of that type.

Ah, someone who understands.
You actually said we wouldn't sign anyone over 120k though. Is it so mad to think that we might?

Mad how conditioned everyone is to forensically go through stuff so they can label someone as worse than shite or even better as not trying when it’s pure hyperbole.
Well Krafth is actually pretty decent these days, Lascelles hasn't cost us a shed load of goals that many were predicting so I guess it has to be "Longstaff is absolute shite".

I don’t think he’s good enough to play in the Premier League no matter the occasion but that’s just me. Watch him score today now. That's fair enough, he was fine against Southampton and looked good under Rafa.

Course it is. Joelinton isn’t great up too and it takes him out of our midfield for Longstaff who isn’t good enough. Also puts more pressure onto our defence that has Lascelles in it. Still, hopefully Joe is in the midfield.Of course he's good enough to play an end of season game against an already relegated Norwich to give the regular starters a rest.

Doesn’t matter what formation we play. Lascelles is back and that means automatic loss. Cheers, Eddie. Weekend ruined.

In Italia 90 they were paying England fans to trash places and throw stuff at the police and rival fans, they did the same in France ‘98

Southgate has never been a success at anything. He got the job because he doesn't rock the boat and comes over as squeaky clean. He is more concerned about and puts more effort into other issues like LGBT, racism, equality, free school dinners etc. They are issues not to be ignored by any means but he is a football manager and not a politician. We have the best selection of players that we have ever had but with him in charge we will win nothing
I'd argue that making it to World Cup semi final and a European cup final is being pretty successful. He also as a player managed to play for his national team more than once which once again would point to him being successful.
What makes you say he puts more effort into other issues over football?

Well you could make a case for it, all that money saved on looking after murderers for the rest of their lives could be put to better use.
It would be a pretty shit case to make though.

Just absolute human garbage.
A pretty good argument in itself as to why capital punishment is grim.

I have no issues with you having the view but this is about recognising not everyone will share that view
A far removed example being gambling, I don't gamble (for religious reasons) and I think it ruins lives and provides little to no benefit but there will be people that completely disagree with me on that. Who then decides who is right in that situation?
So when it comes to Capital Punishment different countries clearly have different views on the subject.
Absolutely, one which is wrong and the other which is by default right.

I don't think it is hard, it's only hard if you are vehemently opposed to capital punishment, not everyone will share that view and those that don't will have the opinion that it's fine and it doesn't concern them. Who says their view is wrong whilst yours is right?
People who oppose the death penalty and who in my view are right to do so.

Last time I checked nobody condemned the US and UK for executing serial killers and rapists.
The uk doesn't have the death penalty. The US does and is often condemned.

If you're arguing that the French league is about to implode then who knows (highly doubt it), but if you're trying to say that Ekitike made a terrible choice cause in he'll be playing along the likes of Scott Brown and James Tavernier in a few years, then nah
