We are 10 points behind Spurs, and they have the following left to play still:

    Arsenal (h)
    Chelsea (a)
    Liverpool (a)
    Man City (h)

    Jim Carrey Chance GIF

Yeah I think they targeted us for 3 points in their minds as they go for top 4 with those fixtures and then I can only see them getting another 2 wins now, I would love to catch them but it will be a big ask, and mean us winning at old Trafford against the sporney man's.

Who knows with this crazy season ???

I think you've got that entirely wrong.

Gilmour has absolutely kicked on since going to Brighton. He's a really good technical player from what I've seen. In fairness to Brighton, they really don't do "bad" players.

I'm not saying he's for us mind, but he's a good player.

As I said I do like him but it just must have been the times I have seen him that he hasn't stood out that much, I expected him to be getting a few more headlines when he moved to Brighton than he has, I probably just haven't been paying close enough attention.

I do think he would work well under Eddie but for the cost he would be I am not sure how much he would improve us and would probably just be a squad filler.

If we were 5 years down the line we could afford to spend the money they would want and the time developing him but I just don't think we have the money for that luxury at the moment.

It's a shame as I think if we had got him direct from Chelsea for £10m or whatever they paid for him he would have come on more under Eddie and would have been good for us this year with the injuries we have had, but they would probably want 3 or 4 times that for him and that is money we can spend better elsewhere.

  3. I liked Gilmour when he was at Chelsea, he gave some good camio performances when I saw him but doesn't seem to have kicked on since then.

I think he has some potential but it is purely as a second string, league Cup type of player.

But then again I wanted us to have a look at Todd Cantwell before his form nosedived so what do I know.

Well yeah that in itself is ridiculous. They've stayed up at others expense who haven't broke the rules and been given a punishment the one season it may not condemn them to Championship. Whole thing just seems like a shit show.

Yeah got to protect the scouse tramps and the media love in of them not been relegated for donkeys years, even if they are a massive turd floating at the bottom of the league.

Apparently it was 5 points deducted that was mitigated down to 2 points based on already penalised ([emoji38]), Russia invading Ukraine ([emoji38]) and the fact the club admitted the breach at the first opportunity (?)

    Somewhat ridiculous

Well if that pattern keeps up people will sonn be getting extra points for over spending

  6. He is just one of those players that comes along every 10 years or so at a certain club and just fits, like Juninho at Boro, Viera at Arsenal, Hazard at Chelsea and Coutino at Liverpool.

They often get talked up about leaving and more often than not it goes wrong for them if they do leave, it could be injuries, just not been loved by the new fans as much, or not as central to the team but I honestly think they often realise they have made a mistake fairly quickly and their confidence and the sparkle they had at the previous club goes.

I hope he never leaves, we love him, he loves the club, don't go chasing a place on a cartel clubs bench or a sun lounger in Spain.

The losses are with borrowed money, and unless I'm mistaken I don't believe factor in the stadium costs which were ran through a separate company.

Wow, so they have in effect taken loans to cover loses and can't afford them, so in my simple non financial brain that has got to be a double loss?, they have got to be proper screwed

  8. I wonder if there is any way to take legal action against Man U or Dan for the disruption to our club, the guy is under contract and was clearly tapped up, he is locked in to his contract and knows he can't leave unless a fee is agreed to release him, I have no idea how this would work but if we are still left paying him next season as they haven't agreed a release fee then it would be a joke.

Maybe for someone with a bit if corporate law knowledge?.

  9. Striker - we need to move Wilson on.

Right wing - our current options just aren't good enough.

Centre half - sign Jammel up for another year as cover, but bring in a good young prospect to challenge Schar.

Goalkeeper- someone to push Pope and replace him in the next couple of years, get rid of Dubs and Thor.

I don't imagine he will be made to wait till 2026 to start work (and indeed Man U will look elsewhere if that is the case one would think), some amount will get paid to ease it through but making him wait till after summer transfer window at least feels sensible. There is no need to be either overly vindictive by refusing any amount of money in lieu of seeing out contract (that I guess could have some repercussions with future hires), he is after all perfectly entitled to want to go work for his mate at Man U, especially if things haven't worked out here quite how he hoped. The noise seems to imply a little that he and Howe aren't quite aligned with Howe having more say and power than him in areas of Ashworth's remit. Who knows if true. It's just disappointing for someone who is meant to be dealing with the long term to allow Howe to focus short term has lasted nowhere near as long as hoped I imagine. We can't be rollovers either, they want him soon they need to pay. They think price is silly they can give a counter offer and we'll see hardly rocket science.

Not that bothered, our backroom set up leaves a lot to be desired still but we'll get that whomever is in post.

Could it be that he had more say at his previous club due to the manager not been as stubborn or controlling, not that I think Eddie is in a bad way I just thick he has his ideas of what he wants, if that's the case he is going to have the same with Ten Hag at man u, not that I like him but he hasn't half had to deal with some shit so there is no way he going to roll over and let half pint Dan tell him what to do.

I have a sneaky feeling it will all go tits up for him in Manchester.

  11. Could there be something in the loan agreement that he has to be in the match day squad when fit but the fee we pay in the summer goes up every times he plays, so every match is another £0.5m or something stupid like that?, it could then be extra penalties if he is not in the squad so we are in a catch 22 situation.

Yeah a bit tinfoil hat but Chelsea and that Todd fella are wankers.
