  1. I live in Plymouth now so could only watch the parade on YouTube.

Words almost fail me. The passion, the tens of thousands (How many tens? the joy, the scarves, that banner of Sir Eddie, the players.

One city, one club. United. Maggpies are Massive!!!

We are seriously going places - the future is so bright. I love this club.

  2. Thanks so much for sharing this! I haven't seen it for nearly 56 years.

I stayed up late to watch it on TV that glorious night.

Crazy how many fouls were awarded against us in that first half - 20?

I remember Foggons goal very differently, time changes memories.

He and Keith Dyson were the next best things, but I don't remember either of them making it really big.

Great days that we will see repeated again.

Was going to say exactly the same thing. It's horrible

I want a REAL cathedral on the hill. Spires, steeple at the front, all made from stone and brick. Something  worship and look up to and wonder 'how glorious is that'

If a young prospect in a struggling team or a young prospect not getting games in a huge squad looks at how we’ve developed Tino, Hall, Gordon etc and doesn’t get a stiffy about joining NUFC, then I wouldn’t want them here

100%. And the fact that our lads are getting England recognition too, plus the football we've been playing, plus the decent chance of playing in Europe, good runs in cups etc...What's not to like?

  6. Did you watch Dibling in the Brentford game? He strolled around with his socks down by his ankles, looked totally disinterested, barely ran anywhere. I know Southampton are bad, but he seriously didn't impress me at all. I guess there's something in him that Eddie and Co. can see.

  7. Just watched that. The guy shouldn't be anywhere near a football pitch. He's just completely lost interest. £300k a week? Seriously? That's 15 years of an average persons wage. Utter disgrace.

    Demolishing Villa 3-0 with ease.

Man City dropping points, with Haaland missing a Penalty.

Tottenham Losing to put more pressure on Mate™

Chelsea losing despite being ahead in 85th Minute.

Man United being as insipid as ever with Bruno Fernandes getting sent off.

    If Carlsberg did boxing days.

    Fantastic!!! What a dream day.........

Just had a look on RAWK and surprisingly enough we are getting no credit, apparently we never laid a glove on then in the first half despite it being their worst performance since before Klopp took over and we only came away with a point due to the performance of their keeper and the ref. Also Anthony Gordon is a cheating, diving twat, They mustn't be old enough to remember Kenny Dalglish who perfected the art of diving for pens.

I never have and never will look at RAWK. Bunch of mal adjusted self opinionated, self entitled yobs.

  10. Being an older guy and having been at all the Fairs Cup matches and the league home games, when I could, in the '60's, John Mac was a colossus in every sense of the word.

Just loved watching him destroy opponents, literally.

He took the ball and Alan Ball out completely when we played Everton, put Gary Sprake and the ball in the net when we played Leeds but the best memory was at Roker Park, can't remember the year, but I'm sure it was very near the end of the game but he scored with a typical towering header and then clung on to the cross bar in celebration.

Magic moments of a true giant and legend.

    RIP you hero!

  11. It's been a very long time since I last posted on here. Time to break my silence.

I'm 72 now and first went to St James's in the '60's. I went pretty much every other week and saw all the Fairs Cup games.

It was a completely different ground then, in every way possible. For league games the atmosphere was pretty poor, only a few - and the Fairs Cup games - was the crowd rocking. 60000 Geordies shouting their hearts out.

Going to the present day St James's, it's a totally different ground.

A complete refurbishment will make it a completely different ground again. Capacity won't allow a new generation of fans to experience what I experienced.

For heavens sake, move to a new 'state of the art' ground with an 80000 capacity and let everyone experience the thrills of watching our team, and let the world look on in awe!

I've lived in many houses in my life and loved them all. We all move on in life and learn to love new things.

I, for one, ache to see the new ground in all it's majestic splendour.

    Sad news

A true great in every sense.

loved the German side 72-76 efficient and ruthless in equal measure.

Still probably the greatest national team ever for me.

RIP to one of the greatest strikers of all time.

100% agree. And a true genuine guy too.......

  13. It's the year 2029 and welcome to the amazingly wonderful World Soccer Series!

Teams from all over the world, including Manchester Blue Boys, Barcelona Magicians and Shanghai warriors play off in the New Super Series.

Worldwide TV coverage starts at a mere 100$ a game, thanks to our amazing sponsors Coca Cola (canned cheers!)

Only the best players in the world take part - and earn salaries of not less than 1,000,000$ a Game (more canned cheers)

This, ladies and gentlemen, is the future of the world game of soccer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  14.

If I could find a player who cost the staggeringly low figure of, let's say, £4 million, and I told Mike Ashley that buying this player would virtually guarantee safety from relegation.

Do you think he'd go for it? I bet he would.

OK, so reverse the order, getting rid of someone who, let's say, would cost £4 million, but would guarantee safety from relegation.

Do you think he'd go for it? I bet he would.

So do the proper thing for this football club, Ashley, and sack the cunt. Now!
