  1. To me he just comes across like a grifter. Utilising the club and fanbase to line his own pockets.

Also, from a personal perspective. I don't like NUFC fans being represented by a rich, private school educated Tory.

Rightly or wrongly that's just how i feel and that whole "We're f***ing class" stuff feels so disingenuous it's not even funny.

Yes. Lascelles was pretty solid away to Liverpool last season iirc. Lascelles as a backup isn’t a big a deal as some are making out imo.

“When people say to me: would you rather be thought of as a sideline shithouse or a great centre back. My answer’s always the same, to me, they’re not mutually exclusive.”

  3. The question is. If we get an injury to Schar or Botman. Could we count on Lacelles to do an short term job if called on?

Obviously Howe has worked wonders elsewhere and he did ping a Schar like pass in pre season.

Given the way it was built up in that episode thinking back to that Southampton semi final, don't remember being worried/nervous at all personally tbh. We were 1-0 up on aggregate going into a 2nd leg at home against the team that was bottom of the league. If we were in any danger of ever losing that especially after going 2 nowt up on the night it would've been a bit of a disgrace tbh.

Also remember being more gutted about Bruno getting sent off than elated about getting to the final. Suppose I'm just a miserable cunt.

Aye same but there was certainly a worry permeating throughout the crowd after the red and it being 2-1.

The tone was set within 30 seconds. Start of the second half if we take one of our chances then it could’ve been a different game but more we pushed the more vulnerable we looked on the counter.

One thing that was noticeable was how many decisions they got off the ref. I’m never one to make much comment on refs but that day they were throwing themselves to the ground at every opportunity. It was so frustrating in the ground watching the ref buy it every time.

I’d actually forgotten how bad the ref was. We were 2nd best across the pitch but Christ. He absolutely was abysmal.

  6. Yeah, I definitely get that. It did need sorting mind as it was almost impossible to build loyalty points from 0 as people got tickets & points then just shifted the ticket if they couldn’t make it. Certainly looked like abit of a closed shop to a degree.

I’d love to get to more games but living in Manchester and having a long term lass. It’s just not possible fiscally and personally. I’m just a fan. No better or worse than anyone else. Whey except Steve Wraith.

  7. I’ve noticed there’s an ilk of fan and I might be generalising but it’s the home and away fan. They seem pissed about away ticket changes and are taking joy in the general fans anger over this.

There’s a real disconnect in the fanbase, especially on social media.

  8. I've kept an eye on the N Tyneside housing market for  years. Just incase i decided to move back and post Covid the increases are absolutely ridiculous.

There's probably a number of reason but i know a fair few people who moved back from down South as remote working took hold and they go to London 1 or 2 times a month for meeting's etc

So they're on London coin but living back in the NE. Estate agents taking the piss probably another reason.

  9. Been away for a couple nights and just catching up on this stuff.

I genuinely can’t believe how rattled fans of other teams are about this transfer and we’re only getting started.
Just seen that mortgage eye’s YouTuber (one fixed, one variable) slagging off the regions women ffs. It’s all getting abit ridiculous tbh.

  10. Man City literally valued him at a certain price and when that was rejected. They left it.  Which they also did with the likes of Cucurella.

She literally said she thinks that City only made a bid for Rice after Arteta called in a favour from Guardiola.

When typing that. I genuinely can't believe how ridiculous it is and for her to them claim vindication. Bollocks!

Voted Tory in 2019, was open about it and I remember reading some quotes from her that came across extremely

poorly. It was on her Wiki but isn’t on there anymore

Didn't she also make some really derogatory comments about people going on furlough.

She really does come across poorly tbf. Arrogant, smug, condescending and with a big ego. You mix that in with some seriously suss comments and it's going cause pushback.
