Also went to Whitley Bay v Shildon yesterday. Classic NL game: end-to-end, penalty, sending off and plenty of committed challenges. Whitley Bay very unlucky not to get point from the game. Enjoyable day out.

He's about to go / is already with Rotherham on trial at the moment I hear. Not surprising given his performances of late. Clear to see the lad is a higher level to Blyth.
-
Went to the Ryton v Stockton game last night. 2-0 to Ryton. Stockton didn't have their first team out by any stretch but it was a case of Ryton taking their chances (and defending very resolutely), and Stockton not taking theirs (and the Ryton keeper having a blinder).

Saw that - jesus wept what happened?! Ha ha! Hebburn were superb tbf and they rested a few regulars too Not sure if that was Birtley's strongest XI mind but Hebburn played some superb football - several brilliant goals! Class result that mind - Birtley's twitter man last night was good craic in the circumstances

Good to see Blyth up and running in the league, hopefully they can kick on from this!

7 minutes of added time?! How come that long? I went to Whickham FC last night, they won 1-0 but controversy at the end as Penrith scored a freekick goal which came off their own man in an offside position. Referee took ages to get over to his assistant and rule it out and then to restart the game. Few handbags after which led to the final whistle being blown.

South Shields have just confirmed their plans for the next stage of development for Mariners Park: https://southshieldsfc.co.uk/club-confirms-plans-for-next-stage-of-mariners-park-development/ Wow.

Any idea who that could be? You might be able to guess with it coming from me! Haha - least it won't be far for them to travel then!
-
They do, which, assuming they got promoted, they'd have to rip up. Think Sutton Utd were in a similar position a few seasons ago (as well as Harrogate Town). Both didn't eventually get promoted in the end.

Some good draws there for NE sides, Dunston have a good chance of getting to the 4th qualifying round again as do Gateshead, Morpeth and Spennymoor. Blyth may struggle (and they have their replay tonight).

What happened yesterday, did you go Paully[/member]?

Would have definitely got your value for money's worth out of that one!

For the third time already this season!

Went to Hebburn v North Shields at the weekend. Decent enough game although Shields were very poor and Hebburn were just clinical. Graeme Armstrong showing his class again.
-
Spurs away is the only game I'd have considered going to see NUFC this year. Definitely a regret of mine not going (given the new ground and all that along with the final result).
-
With NUFC on TV at 12.30 and away from home, where are people heading this weekend? North Shields v Hebburn for me I think

An excellent piece mate, well written. Been to Hanwell once (as I was a student down in London), a decent ground with some great people.
-
Another signing for Blyth has just been announced, a lad from Chesterfield on loan.
-
From what I gather whilst Darlington deserved to win, Blyth dug in and were defensively decent (there was nothing they could do to stop the winner is what I've been told). Still very worrying times and looks likely to be a long season ahead at Croft Park.
-
Great result for Gateshead last night, although Spennymoor have had a very poor start indeed. Long way to go of course. Excellent result for Dunston on the road last night as well, though the RCA game will be a very tough and physical one on Saturday.

How was the game? Was it a deserved red?

Be very interesting to see what comes of this. I obviously want them back within the League structure but it could set a dangerous precedent for the future (and that may be what the EFL could be mindful of).
