Howe's seemed to allow him to invert alot more than Tripper or Tino so I assumed he recognises those qualities too.
-
Can't knock him tbf. Loyalty is a rare commodity in football.
-
Just curious to see him play one game in midfield.
Just one.

A prem proven GK at £15m would be outrageous value, especially if it means we add an extra 20m to the outfield budget.
We can always revisit that position when our income warrants it.
Edit: all rides on whether that valuations is right, obviously. I'm thinking not.

Is Gallagher for sure off this summer? He seems pretty consequential to Chelsea’s setup. Although I suppose that’s moot if Poch gets binned.
I think he's forcing their hand in wage negotiations and will re-sign for Chelsea but if there's any chance we should be in there.

I rate Gallagher but he's quite similar to Tonali, I think.
Hmmm, not sure about that. I think he's a better dribbler in tight spaces which we really need in midfield but his (Tonali's) distribution is far better

Isn’t he off to Spurs?
Aye, think that's his preference but he'd be a superb signing.
Can't think of a more Eddie Howe type player.
-
Said it before but if there's any chance we can get Gallagher we should.
He's been excellent this season.

We have about 95% of the market at our disposal.
I reckon we can be a little more adventurous than Ross Barkley

I’m bored of saying I want us to buy a dedicated 6 to allow it. Howe won’t do it, which is fair enoughI'm not

I am once again asking for Bruno to play further up the field

really think ECL could end our trophy drought and cement Howe's status and one of our greatest managers
Firmly beleive that he'd enforce a winning mentality once we've got that monkey off our back rather than bask in it's glory like other managers do.

The monotony of the top 6 has been broken. We've played a significant part in that and we're still in the early stages of our development.
Ask anyone 2 years ago if they'd have taken Confernece and the resounding answer would have been yes.
Nothings changed for me, actuslly very happy with how this season had gone all things considered.
We're perfectly on course.

Didn't play badly. Deserved a draw. Man U are shite relative to where they should be, but ultimately still a good side.
Fìn.

Is it a higher priority than a RW? Or a striker assuming Wilson goes ?
No, I don't think it is, but I honestly think it's not too far away from those in terms of priority.

Don’t think anyone is arguing we couldn’t do with more quality at CM, but it’s not a priority over other positions this window.
I disagree it's not a priority. Most of our defensive work is done in that midfield area and we saw how combination of tired legs and poor ball retention impacted us this season.
It's arguably the most impactful area of the pitch and so strengthening that area has to be one of our top priorities.

I disagree about our midfield. Yea, we are stacked in numbers but not quality. We play three in midfield so we need more in there imo. One injury/suspension, never mind a bad one and we will look quite fragile there, especially in depth and quality. If the midfield doesn’t work or have enough quality then attack and the defence will suffer. I think some of us rate our midfielders a little bit too much, especially the ones outsides of Bruno, Joellinton and Tonali.
We need at least 2 top quality midfielders on the pitch at all times and as good as Willock is, he's not top level (although he has the ingredients) and is also injury prone.
Anderson and Miley aren't at the level yet to actively support out push to the level we want to be at.

There's no sign whatsoever that we will be looking at a cm for a start.
I mean, there's been pretty significant reports that we'd been intensively scouting Ederson for a start. Put in an offer for Gallagher too from memory and I doubt either if those would have happened as a reaction to our injury crisis, it's not how we operate.
We're very much in the market for a CM and it's absolutely the right thing to if we're to sustain a challenge on all front.
-
Dunno how I missed that.

Am I right in saying a draw tonight and a Chelsea loss pretty much guarantees us 6th?

What profile of CM do most people think we need?CMs we been linked with
Y Fofana
M Caqueret
K Zenon
M Kone
Ederson
(Archie Gray - if Leeds don’t go up)
Kone and Caqueret are the profiles I like the most, press proof, comfortable getting the ball off the defenders with good distribution.
I wish we were linked with Merino.
Not sure why Kone hasn't been snapped up yet though, he in particular looks ideal.

I don’t think it’s impossible if the right deals are out thereAye, I think a lot depends on those free transfer tbh.
Get those in, a couple of decent sales, wages leaving the building and some CL money and we're actually, on paper, in a decent position.
-
1 forward
1 RW
1 CM
1 GK
and hopefully 2 frees will be our business this summer.

We're also disrupting a direct rival team's plans as well, for balance.
I'd pay a couple million to do that.
