That side would have a certain robustness

Hate Derby games. They make me ill. The delight of victory doesn't balance the horrific build-up. Want Sunderland to languish for infinity
Couldn't care about Boro. Happy for them to come up. And likely go back down again.

Great post(s) thanks ponsaelius

Minor thing and probably just me being an old fashioned twat. But I don’t like it when people don’t stand up to shake someone’s hand when being introduced. Anderson? and Burn seemed totally uninterested in meeting him.
Although TBF. Burn looked like he was getting stuck into some beans on toast or something
Totally. Standards, lads.
Really impressed with AG, his interviews and overall manner suggest a wise head. Impressive

There isn’t one in mine - my NUFC memories stretch back to the ‘80s, and I don’t think we’ve had a better RB in that time.

Steve Walsh OG against Leicester to keep us up (I know we'd have stayed up anyway but we didn't know that at the time).
Another one I forgot ! Like others, still not sure how I got out of Leicester alive. Awful trouble that game

8) 5-0 away win at Antwerp - 1994. Back in Europe for the first time in decades and doing it in style.
Forgot that one. What a night.

I have total trust in King Edward getting the best out of him. Looks like he's on his way.

Best season: 83-84. Pure exhilaration
Best match (non-win): QPR away 84-85. 5-5 draw.
Best match (win): Sunderland 5-1
Best moment watching on TV: Bellamy goal away v Feyenoord
Best away atmosphere: Liverpool away 3rd round FA Cup 1984 (lost 4-0, Keegan's Anfield return. Unreal support)

Can he finish? That's our most midfield lacking quality. We have legs, stamina, persistence and press. Need some composure. (Bruno aside)

Not forgetting a very agreeable goal difference

Some glorious results today apart from Man Utd.
It's definitely a bit Carlsberg

Would like to know what he was whispering in Tielemans' ear at full time

He's a magnificent athlete. My MOTM too

Still got my Alan Shearer Testimonial scarf (pristine). Maybe I should wear that on Tuesday.

The Athletic is doing a "£1 per month for 12 months" deal, as tends to be the way on Boxing Day. It's well worth a quid for how much NUFC content you get in a month alone.
Nice one, thanks for this ?

I've been going since late 70s.
I'd take a League Cup win + relegation over a second finish every day of the week.
Maybe it's an old c??t thing but I'm desperate to see us win something. Anything.

Didier Deschamps sporting almost a Bobby Charlton comb over. Mon Dieu !

Re : betting. I only bet on certainties (yes, I know..) My last bet was Sunderland to be relegated from the championship straight after their relegation from the Prem. 25/1. Ridiculous odds for a team and club that was clearly fucked in every way imaginable. Haven't bet once since. Delightful on many levels. Making good money out of taking-the-knee denialist Faragistes. Lovely.

Bravo to him for opening up. Can't be easy despite seemingly having the luckiest of lives, looking in from the outside. Good article.

First time there for me was a 1-0 defeat at the Dell. I am pretty sure David Armstrong scored for them whilst approx 28 yards offisde. Still the worst away-fan view of any ground I've been to. Seems like a lifetime ago. After that long-standing Le Tissier led jinx, I now don't fear them in any way whatsoever. Decent club though.

Shame we never saw the best of Malcolm Brown. Arrived with such high expectations. Trippier is the best I've seen at RB. And I loved Ando
Still still not worthy of a thread
