  1. What am I picking holes in? Mimms will confirm when he comes back on. Word-for-word quote.
  2. "PIF have told Ashley to sack Bruce" Is that the line from your source, mate? What does Henry think about Bruce though? Will he persevere with him? I'm not sure what you're referencing here. "PIF have told Ashley to sack Bruce" <- that is a verbatim quote of what Mimms has been told by his source. If you believe Mimms, you should be extremely excited right now.

  4. If you think I'm talking shite and I'm fundamentally wrong about the takeover, why do my posts even register with you? I'm just some random who's wrong on the internet in that case, and not worth getting yourself upset about.
  5. The faintly deranged and desperate way in which this letter is written suggests the cash for that highly paid lawyer is no longer there, and that this isn't in fact part of a carefully co-ordinated 4D chess play that will cripple the Premier League.
  6. Why do you believe this is the case? I can't see any evidence whatsoever that the Saudis are still at the table. Ashley is pursuing a restraint of trade case against the Premier League, and arbitration is a precursor he has to indulge before going to court. None of this either requires or suggests the involvement of the Saudis. The Athletic claim they are as interested as ever if you want an actual source. I must be honest - I'm extremely sceptical of the quality of Chris Waugh's sources at the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia. You must have a lot more faith in local football journalists than I do. Horses for courses! Are the PIF the only people buying the club ? The Reuben brothers and Amanda Staveley were also intending to take minority shares. More info here mate if you need it -> https://www.ft.com/content/17856b31-cfbd-4004-8b48-195d45f5bad2

  9. Where has it been confirmed that the Staveley/Saudi consortium are currently party to a legal dispute with the Premier League?
  10. If the sports writer at the Shields Gazette reckons the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia is still involved, then who are we to argue? I’m sure his sources there are impeccable. Kennedy is a know-nothing struggling journo regurgitating whatever nonsense he’s being fed by the NCS weirdos. It’s understandable because being a football writer at a tiny regional paper is a tough old gig, and this is the only thing that’s ever got him any attention or recognition or positive feedback, but please don’t take his stuff at face value.
  11. Personally I think it if it was 100% dead in the water we would have a leak from somewhere saying so or even a statement from seller/club/buyer. But we have had a statement from the buyer. They stated "we have come to the decision to withdraw our interest in acquiring Newcastle United Football Club". I don't see how much more explicit they could be? This hasn't actually been made public. What's been made public is that Ashley has engaged QCs to potentially pursue the Premier League over the legitimacy of their non-approval of the takeover. These are two very, very different things. The latter does not require the consortium to still be involved or interested. Again, there's been absolutely nothing to suggest that the Saudis are still interested or pursuing this. Genuinely not a single morsel of evidence. The takeover attempt no longer exists, and there's no good reason beyond blind optimism to think otherwise.
