  1. Irish lads on here, I have a question. My observations from very far away is that the sport popularity in the country is as follows: Hurling Gaelic Football Football Rugby Is this way off?
  2. I am in favour of that.
  3. You must concede the situation was desperate at the time though. Desperate times produce desperate measures.
  4. I was disappointed he was hurt when Everton played a friendly in my hometown. I like the lad and hoped to see him play. Only Prem team I have ever seen live. As a total side note, I mentioned on here Gordon seemed to be the best player on the pitch that night despite the locals crushing Everton like 4-1 or something.
  5. Yea, but if the 25M buyback is true they can see how does at this level and if he sucks and assuming it isn't a mandatory buyback they can move on. If he is a real talent they get him back. I rate DCL unlike some here but if the deal as mentioned earlier is the case I'd be OK with it. Lots of assumptions in that statement I made.
  6. Just got the items dispatched from the club shop email so should be across the sea soon.
  7. Seems like a solid take. Not going to win 4-0 every game.
  8. Just finished watching the games played today, recorded them. England was a bit shaky in the second half but a good three points. I saw the England thread was locked. Oh man. I love England myself and Great Britain at large too. Hope you lads do well the rest of the tournament.
  9. That is sad. He shut it down a while back as he got sicker. It was a odd blog, I never signed up but it was strange to watch the commenters at each others throat constantly.

Joking aside, you lads have mentioned a bias against the Northeast in the past. Seems like he's embracing the city and the next stage of his career.

You do? Well, you learn something new everyday.
  12. I understand that sentiment but what is worse, rules keeping a handful of clubs at the top or a free-for-all like it was before FFP/PSR?
  13. I showed this to the old folks I have coffee with every Sunday. One lady, 84 , and my mothers best friend since 1955 thought it was good. She lived in Scotland for 5 years and said "These people really love their team don't they". Yes they do. Last Friday we were on a call with the UK management team and talking about womens football when a US manager mentioned Kansas City has build a stadium for the women this year. My mate in Leeds said it hasn't really taken off in the UK and I said the lasses drew like 25k at St James' Park and he said "Newcastle are unique, it seems every man woman and child completely support their team, not like that in Leeds. They love their team".
  14. That's very interesting indeed. Thanks for that. I mean it. edit: Tune is great too.
  15. I'm not sure why but that just made my day. Love those guys.
  16. Really? Those fuckers were fantastic.
  17. Doing my bit to back the club, picked up a home shirt with Isak on the back along with some other merch. 210USD for everything but will be worth it.

I'm not Hawk but if you need to spend 3 minutes OR have to squint to see which way it went, it ain't clear and obvious.

Nicely finished, how many caps does this lad have?
  20. No idea on the lower leagues, but if I was setting up they get a percentage. I do see what you are saying. Just have to balance that with what is now a basically "New rule to stop Newcastle" mode of thinking.
