I agree we don't know what that specific pair would do, it just seems unlikely we lose Schar, Botman and Burn all at once so we don't need to find out. Hopefully they can provide some cover.

Not sure that pair will start 5-10. I would have loved a top level CB but you can't sign every position. We have coverage now at LB so Burn can play CB when needed.

I know, just look at last week for instance. Both starting CB not playing and just look what happened.

It's a good point. We played a fully rotated backline including a player who hadn't played in a year and pulled off a clean sheet against a very good City backup squad who are better than some EPL teams starters.

That was good. He said he stayed fit but hadn't played in a year so it was tough but he did a job. Not sure what @Rod was channeling but good shout. Dummett held strong and a clean sheet was the result. I thought Lascelles was great also, blows my mind how Eddie gets these guys ready and in the right frame of mind to win a match like this.

I don't think anyone in their right mind would disagree that they are the best team in the world, but we should also concede they played a weakened/rotated squad. That said, their second 11 is better than some EPL teams starting 11.
