Interviewing Alan Shearer now.
-
Scenes outside SJP are mad.
-
Eddie: "We're not sure where Mbappe will be playing, wide or central."
-
Tripps: "I'm not going to sit back and wait for Mbappe. We have to go forward."

Tripps interviewing on Paramount, lad sounds super confident.

I recall at Anfield when he proposed the game replayed when Isak's goal was also incorrectly ruled. That's something he'd do given his great level of sportsmanship, aye?
-
I have to say I'm excited for the Geordies that have supported the team for many years and have waited for this moment. Although Newcastle was my adopted team in the 90's I stopped watching English football for years so it isn't anything near the thrill you lads and lasses must feel on a night like this. I hope everyone has a great time, I cleared my schedule to watch the game here and I'm sure the long term Non-Geordie supporters from everywhere in the world, hope you all have a great time too.

That conversation with VAR, was everyone disoriented? Good lord.

What makes Ligue 1 so second rate in your opinion? Just curious.

Kieran has a certain " je ne sais quoi".
-
Ah, but he doesn't have an outrageous accent you silly king.

My understanding, and it may be semantics, was that they said "check cleared" because they thought it had been ruled a goal. They thought it was the correct command. Anyway, kind of sad once the game kicked off they couldn't stop it and acknowledge the error. I mean, when they look at a goal, they say they also look at the buildup which is beyond daft, right? How is that different from correcting a mistake less than a minute later. I do get you can't in the 90th minute announce the game is now tied because VAR made a mistake earlier. VAR does kinda suck as it is now.
-
One thing I found puzzling. VAR indicated they thought the referee ruled it a goal so after 20 seconds they said check cleared. So why didn't they see the referee call it offside and relay down that no it was onside.
-
That Forrest header was a work of art!
-
The laws of the game should also be clearer. I'd make it if your foot is ahead of the last defender, not like Isak at Anfield where it looked like he literally leaned forward or if someone has their arms out. That's daft, no?
-
Commentator on USA Network said the grass lines on the pitch confirms it's onside. Then when VAR say no, he said maybe the groundsman had a late night and mowed it cooked or something to that effect.

What a finish.....lol....

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Really?

I think that ole red magic might have dissipated.
