He’s pretty lucky not to have you as his agent.

I do not actually like his profile, said that a while ago. I was not trying to make him look good ? But it is also important to remind myself that I do not know much when it comes to assessing footballers. If Maldini wanted him at Milan, then I am sure that he is a brilliant center-back, I know that much.

Don't think he's good enough for Spurs. He would have to rotate with the Swedish lad and moura?

Will be playing upfront, most likely. Cannot see him play as a wide player in a 352, not fast enough in my opinion.

  3. The recent reports indicate that he is on his way to Newcastle. Although he is a bit slow and not that comfortable on the ball, his character is unmatched. I also trust Maldini's judgment.

  4. Another source (one of the most reliable ones when it comes to Milan):

Pending #Botman and the final choice (Newcastle strongly pressing against Lille, the Rossoneri are still trying), the candidacy of #Bremer for #Milan dates back. Already in January they were the two most welcome power plants: plan A and B for defense. (by Google Translate)

  5. BREMER IMPORTANT FOR MILAN AS NEWCASTLE PUSH FOR BOTMAN

    Quote

Milan are reportedly increasing their interest in Gleison Bremer as Newcastle United look to secure Sven Botman with their lucrative offer.

    Quote

The Rossoneri have been linked with the Lille centre back for a number of months now and they’ve been aware of the competition, but now things are looking significantly tougher as Newcastle have sent in an offer worth over €30m for Botman, leaving Milan in a difficult spot.

    Quote

As reported by MilanNews.it, Milan do not want to be caught empty handed and so they’ve started exploring the possibility of signing Bremer from Torino. The Brazilian had a great season and has been linked with a move to Inter for some time now.

    Quote

Bremer would cost around €25m, cheaper than Botman, who may be convinced by the super-offer from Newcastle.

The Rossoneri may also decided to place their trust in the Tomori-Kalulu duo, allowing them to reinvest these funds elsewhere.

This one is not looking good. Particularly because of how much Ekitike looks up to Mbappe. Not sure we get him now.

Does not seem like a reliable source. This source is not listed in any reliability guide, and I also could not track the actual source down to see who wrote the article. Another thing to keep in mind is that it has yet to be mentioned in any of the go to news accounts such as @parisunited6 or @GFFN

  7. Have seen this reported multiple times (first time by a recognisable reporter, as opposed to ITK accounts), but could not track it down just yet.

Edit: it is apparently in the print version:

  8. REIMS STRIKER HUGO EKITIKE AGREES MOVE TO NEWCASTLE

    Quote

RMC Sport report this afternoon that Reims striker Hugo Ekitike has agreed in principle to join Newcastle this summer, with the two clubs already coming to an initial agreement.

    Quote

An agreement was found for the 19-year-old’s transfer over a fee of €36m plus €10m in bonuses. Ekitike had turned down a move to the Premier League side this winter, and decided instead to see out his first season as a professional with his formative club.

    Quote

With 10 goals this season, having missed out on several months due to injury in the second half of the year, the French youth international has been one of the breakout stars of the campaign.

  9. I do not think there is going to be a major difference, if any, between our financial offers. Currently, Milan is more attractive because it got better city, there is well Maldini, guaranteed starting spot, higher chance of getting a few trophies, can still move to a better club in a few seasons (Barca, Madrid, City or any other major club), which is unlikely for that to happen at NUFC.

I honestly do not mind him going there because I prefer Ndicka.

  10. RUMOURS OF MARSEILLE SALE DENIED BY FRANK MCCOURT’S TEAM

    Quote

RMC Sport via La Provence report this morning that the entourage of Marseille owner Frank McCourt have denied the recent rumours of the club being up for sale.

    Quote

The American is said to be “outraged” at the reports and has flat-out denied that the club was up for sale – journalist Romain Molina had reported yesterday that talks were underway for a change in ownership with several groups in the last few months.

    Quote

McCourt’s team are even considering legal action against thse propagating the rumours, and have reaffirmed their long-term commitment to OM. President Pablo Longoria is expected in Boston next week to discuss the club’s future with McCourt.

    Quote

The 68-year-old has been in charge of the club since 2016, and was recently in town to watch the club qualify for next year’s Champions League with a 4-0 win over Strasbourg.

Marseille fans have been trying to convince themselves of Saudi investment almost as long as our takeover. Prince Alwaleed was the one with interest rather than PIF iirc?

I think both were linked, but not quite sure.

  12. Disciplined, hard-working, reliable, excellent defensively (which is rare), and available for a reasonable fee. Hard to say no, honestly. Get him, work on the rest of the team for now and get someone better in 2-3 seasons and hopefully by then he will be more than happy to be a back-up in a much better team. If there is a clearly better option now, then why not, but I cannot think of any, really.

I'm sure Newcastle under Ashley was 3rd or 4th most profitable club over the last 10 years. I think I saw it on a Kieran Maguire tweet. I just did a quick search for most profitable PL club but I could only see income

that is right for some clubs, but certainly not the successful ones. Ashley was actually taking some of the club revenue, which is crazy.

I think staying in the PL will result in about 100m in itself, which is nice for average teams.

  14. I do not think it is wise to keep Wilson and Wood, and bring two additional CFs when the club need plenty of players. I hope the club is not planning to do. I personally would give both Wilson and Wood another season before we go big next summer, particularly because the players that are worth getting are not available (Abraham, Osimhen, and Nunez in that order).

I absolutely take your point - but it’s all relative.  Aramco makes average profits of $300m per day - two days profits would completely transform any football club and they wouldn’t blink

That’s not to suggest that they’ll throw those sums at us - but if a successful NUFC is part of a wider plan, they won’t blink.  These organisations and companies are separate institutions in name only - it all goes into the same pot

Football clubs, particularly the successful ones, are barely profitable. A properly run club hardly break-even when it comes to investment. However, investing in football will give you access to an unreachable demographic that is worth your investment. There is a lot to say, but I think the main objective of investing in NUFC is to turn the club into a global brand.
