It’s impossible to predict if we’re one of adidas’s ‘elite’ clubs, because we’ll get a bespoke kit. If we aren’t, it’ll be a generic adidas one. I’m going to guess that adidas made such a song and dance about it that we’re one of their ‘elite’ clubs (I understand that they have tiering even within that category?)

Never liked early KOs tbh - and I was there when this lot had us out of the FA Cup before lunchtime. We’re usually shite, and the atmosphere is usually shite, and it’s shite for the away supporters as well. It does mean that I can watch the game at 11:30pm local time here, so it’s to my advantage, but I’m not a fan of it.

The club would have needed to grant permission I’m guessing. It’s not the best look tbf - Trippier’s season in 2021/22 ended at the start of Feb but he was still supporting the team home and away. Can’t say I’m massively arsed in all honesty - the lad has already let the club down massively, this barely registers on the radar.

It was Staveley who said Howe was Al-Rumayyan‘s choice. Hers was Emery. This was after the interviews, so what Al-Rumayyan knew about Howe beforehand I’ve no idea. Very little would be my guess

I’ve always been in the ‘who gives a shite who the captain is’ camp. It’s not rugby or cricket - the captain is pretty much ceremonial in football. They’re the ones who pick a trophy up first - so ours haven’t had much purpose in recent decades.

Again, I’m not one of those who thinks that Howe should be under the slightest pressure (or at least additional pressure - being a manager is pressured) at the moment. But I never, ever agreed with that sentiment and it still pisses me off that a banner somehow got to speak for all of us (i also think it was a club that tries). I want a team that wins, I’m afraid. I’ve always wanted that. I’m not at all happy with watching just a bunch of triers.

Three teams have to go down - and given Bournemouth’s size and status, if they’re in the PL they’re in the mix for it. Saying he ‘got’ them relegated implies the fault lies with him. That’s pretty strong as he was the guy who got them up and established them in the first place - at some point they’re going to go down. You can’t defy gravity forever. For example this season I don’t look at Forest and think that Steve Cooper was to blame for where they are. He hasn’t been successful in getting them away from the drop zone, but he’s did a good job when he was there IMO.

I just really like Dan Burn, regardless of his limitations as a player. I know we get local lads playing for us, but he’s one of the few who actually sounds like blokes I know (I don’t just mean in terms of accent). I think he knows what a privileged position he’s in.

Given how far AI-type technology is coming along, have we almost reached the point where - with his permission - we can just get a computer to imitate Barry Davies’ voice, syntax and style and get it to commentate on every game? I’d be ok with that.
