Was walking around Liverpool city centre today, where I live. Saw a kid who looks about 5yo in a Newcastle top shouting Newcastle beat Liverpool over and over. He even walked up to a group of men in Liverpool tops and shouted we're gonna beat you! at them. They had a laugh with the kid and sent him on his way. Just nice to see when adults can be openly hostile to each other and call it passion.

By the new rules their keeper should be sent off already! Not even a booking yet...

Yeah but Gordon came from Everton, Hall from Chelsea. Which player do you think got better tactical and fitness training from the club they came to us from?

I'd say it's a work in progress, like for any new player.

It's a don't know at the moment. I'm not gonna start rating a player who's been here 5 minutes. He's needs time to get up to fitness and used the Eddie way of playing. Then we will see if there is anything there. Think Joelinton under Bruce compared To under Eddie. I'm not saying he will become a world class player. If the potential for that is in him, then its down to him to apply himself and unlock that potential. Same for any player really.

To be fair to Gordon, he acknowledged that he was nowhere near fit enough for a Eddie Howe team, and seems to have worked hard to put that right. As for judging him at age 22, plenty of clubs probably turned there nose up at lots of players who became top class as they aged. Vardy comes to mind. KDB wasn't good enough for chelsea when he was younger. Nor was Salah. Just saying.
