Belfast Boy
Jesus wept at this thread tbh. Care to elaborate? Did you honestly not feel cheated yesterday? Not just the goals, but they could do pretty much whatever they wanted to our players while if we even attempted to tackle them, he would stop play. And like Dave suggested, the title is obviously tongue-in-cheek, a play on the media-thread, but the points made in the thread are spot on. On another note, did anyone else notice that they kept replaying the foul on N'Zogbia which led to our goal? As if it looked like he dived, when he clearly was fouled? Honestly my feelings at the end of the game were more along the lines of, 'we were bloody lucky we didnt throw away all the points, never mind cheated out of three.' The game was ours for the taking and its nobodies fault but ours, whether the officials made mistakes or not. If we had players with any sort of ability to keep possession we would have held on to win. There was a point around 80-85mins in, where I felt we had weathered the storm and they had ran out of ideas. However, due to the fact that we couldn't string more than 3 passes together, we kept handing the ball back to them and inviting them on, giving them a new found believe that there was a goal in it for them. All this talk of ref's being against us is embarrassing.
Nobody
The only thing that's embarrasing is the attitude of those that seemingly want to take the moral high-ground with a holier-than-thee-attitude. Yesterday, we scored two goals, they didn't score one. Why shouldn't we feel cheated? Had we won 2-0 (like we should have), no one would be talking about the players not having the ability. We shouldn't have to score three more goals than our opposition just to win the game, one should be enough´.
Belfast Boy
Nothing personal mate, just my opinion, I certainly don't want to get involved in some tit for tat argument. Agree to disagree?
