Guest neesy111
The state we are in now have fk all to do with that little cut being sold, its more about Sir Bobby being sacked and Souness, Roeder and Big Sam being given the managers job.. Selling our good players and replacing them with shit has nothing to do with our current state? Fact is we should never have sold Bellamy. Which striker did we bring in in the Summer we sold him? Nobody to replace Bellamy, did we? So Owen didn't come into the team to partner Shearer? 11 games What's that got to do with anything? You said we brought in shite to replace him which isn't the case. Unless you think the Owen we signed was shite? He was a shite replacement seeing as he hardly managed a game until last season, yes. I'd rather have kept Bellamy. And Bellamy played how many games last season? 8 wasn't it? how much did bellamy cost compared to owen, 11 million more not including the wages which would be another 5-6 million
Conjo
Your arguement doesn't hold shearergol, as no one can foresee the future and know he was going to get injured. At the time Owen was a great replacement for Bellamy. How many goals did Shearer and Owen score between them in those 11 games? I havn't got a clue, but im guessing 8 goals, over a whole season that's what..27 goals? That's not very bad now days.
