Classy Craig

Rebellious

Match-day attendees who act the smart arse routine, heckle & abuse players are fair game, and as such are open to a return spray from a player.

In addition to this some bloke. as reported, saying 'see you later Craig' to a visiting & injured player from the perceived sanctity of the family enclosure - where he obviously thought he was a protected species, while acting like a smart arse -  is a coward's act imo.

That stupid c*** will never learn and we are well shot of him!!

Yep, we've certainly improved since he left. I for one am much happier with the current state of play now that we don't have to worry about Bellamy's name appearing in the press.

In the final 1/3 of the pitch, out on the paddock....... have we?

What happens out on the pitch is what matters most.

Deryck initially shouter to Craig as he was passing. l/r Imogen and her dad Deryck Ayers

He said: “With him being an ex-Norwich player I shouted 'see you later Bellamy' and he just turned around and swore at me and he said something about prostitutes in Ham 5.

And i'm sure Deryck meant well............. yelling goodbye to a player who accomplished more good than bad for his club's hated rivals, out on the pitch.

Deryck i'm sure was being just a little angel.

At least Bellamy won't be facing any action.  One piece of good news in a depressing article for Whammers fans.

£6m...That's Ljungberg's reward for being a Premier League flop as Hammers show him the door

By Neil Ashton

Last updated at 12:54 AM on 06th August 2008

Freddie Ljungberg's disastrous spell at Upton Park is over after only 12 months as West Ham agreed to pay a staggering £6million to get him off their spiralling wage billl.

As the full extent of Ljungberg's incredible salary details emerged - he is paid £85,000 a week and had an option for another year if he made just 15 appearances this season - West Ham are still suffering from the aftershock of one of the most expensive mistakes in British football history.

In total, he cost them approximately £13m, taking into account transfer fee, wages and his pay-off - working out at over £500,000 per game, following 25 appearances for the club last season in which he made little impact.

West Ham have yet to announce Ljungberg's departure, but the deal has been agreed and he has been told he is now effectively a free agent. Ljungberg, 31, believes he can still play at the top in England, Italy or Spain and has asked his agent to find him a new club.

The Sweden midfielder was due to earn £8.84m over the next two years at West Ham and initially informed Hammers chief executive Scott Duxbury that he had no intention of reaching a settlement.

Despite being told by manager Alan Curbishley that he would not be playing for the first team this season, the injury-prone midfielder told the club he would sit tight and see out the remaining two years on his mega-bucks deal. He has not been part of the pre-season programme and is understood to be back home in Sweden 'weighing up a number of options'.

It is an incredible fall from grace for Ljungberg. He was a member of Arsenal's 'Invincibles' who won the Premier League in 2004 without losing a game and was recently voted the Gunners' 11th best player of all time.

The Hammers signed him from their London rivals for £3m last summer, but he showed no signs of his Arsenal form and his season ended early when he broke a rib in a collision with Newcastle defender Steven Taylor.

Although Ljungberg recovered to play for Sweden at Euro 2008, he announced his retirement from international football after the tournament in order to prolong his career in the Premier League.

Another of West Ham's injury-prone strikers, Craig Bellamy, faces being out for up to two months after tearing a hamstring in the first half hour of Monday night's 5-3 friendly win at Ipswich.

This setback follows news that Kieron Dyer's long-awaited return has been put back until November because of a stress fracture in the right leg he broke early last season.

However, Bellamy will not face any action following an alleged verbal spat with a female fan at Portman Road.

Aye fully agree, my dad had a go at Bellamy a while back when he played for us calling him shite and that Bellamy shouted some jokey-abuse back at him. All banter. Too many puffs at football these days who are looking for an excuse to make something out of nothing.

The state we are in now have fk all to do with that little cut being sold, its more about Sir Bobby being sacked and Souness, Roeder and Big Sam being given the managers job..

Selling our good players and replacing them with shit has nothing to do with our current state?

Fact is we should never have sold Bellamy.

So Owen didn't come into the team to partner Shearer?

We wouldn't have sold him if it wasn't for the manager we'd brought in.

I don't disagree with that. I just can't believe people think we're better off without him.

When it came down to it, the club had to back the manager over the player. It was just such a pity the manager was shite, and we all saw those kind of problems coming a mile off beforehand. You have to make exceptions for your best players and manage out any issues. Robson knew this; Souness did not.

Had Owen not suffered injury after injury then no one would have given Bella's a second thought, he was a loud mouthed little prick and had he been able to keep his gob shot and do what he was told he would not have been let go.

So you actually don't care what happens on the pitch, unless it's Alan Smith.

What's that got to do with anything? You said we brought in shite to replace him which isn't the case.

Unless you think the Owen we signed was shite?

At the time it all kicked off I backed Bella's as Souness was a complete cunt but lets face it here Bella's was poisen and was no Ronaldo people go on about him as though he was a god and he was not, he was injured a lot of the time and other times was banned for being a twat. His off the pitch shite caused us shit too, we are better off without him and managers like Souness.

he was a very good player for us, when we decided we were getting rid, i hoped we'd have signed robbie keane, similar sort of player, not as fast but much less injured and less of a wanker. we signed owen instead, which seemed like a brilliant move but it hasn't quite been so brilliant ... yet! :)

He was a shite replacement seeing as he hardly managed a game until last season, yes. I'd rather have kept Bellamy.

And Bellamy played how many games last season? 8 wasn't it?
