Jonas to Pompey?

What does he do that is unexpected? He is the most predictable player we have.

I think most of the players in our team are predictable in a different way. They won't run into space, move off the ball and generally don't want the ball much. They aren't bad qualities either, but how many players at Newcastle have them?

He can beat a couple of players which is a talent, nothing unpredictable, now martins missing from 2 yards then banging one in from 30 was unpredictable.

I was talking about the other players though.

one of few players at the club who can do something "unexpected", we lack that and movement bad. Jonas suck so much because no one bothers to do any runs leaving him(and the rest of the team) easy to predict.

His team mates haven't a clue what the hell he is trying to do, if that counts as "unexpected". He can't score, he can't cross, he can't provide any assists, but he can do something "unexpected". Shite, lets keep him. TBH the only thing "unexpected" from Jonas now would be a sodding goal.

Basically agree with all of this, but he is one of the few players who has the ability to actually run with the ball and take defenders on (note to Damien Duff: he sometimes actually goes past them too).

The fact he is prepared to drive at opposing defences unsettles defenders and creates space for his team-mates. Although this is often more through accident than design.

Mind you this is largely academic as he will be gone in the next 2 or 3 weeks.
