You can go on all you like about how you couldn't buy etc etc but a big part of that is you didn't sell anyone, we've generated tons of money in sales over recent years, esp from home grown, it makes a huge difference. If you're only looking at one side of the equation, you'll be limited. Missing out on the Champions League on goal difference is disappointing, of course it it, but it's been a brilliant season - 5 years ago last week we were getting promoted from the Championship, this season we reached the QF of the Champions League and qualified for Europe again. We'll probably sell Leon Bailey, which will make zero difference in practical terms, Buendia plus one other, I can live with that.
