Nobby
MARK Halsey will be in charge of Newcastle's game with Portsmouth at St. James' Park on Sunday. Leeds-based whistler Mike Riley was initially down to referee the game, but there has been a late change. Mr Halsey has refereed one of United's matches already this seasom, the 2-0 defeat away to Liverpool back in September. http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/40816000/jpg/_40816458_mikeriley270.jpg mike riley http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/40953000/jpg/_40953156_shearer_pa_203.jpg mark halsey
Pokerprince2004
Riley is a moron so this is a good change, why did he drop out like? Injury?
PM
And, as ever, you can find out more in Referee Watch (if I can be bothered to write it) on the main site over the weekend.
Guest dasflenst
That's the second time Riley was due to referee our game but then had it switched at the last minute. He was down for the Boro game but was apparently booked in for a holiday instead - mistake at the FA or something.
PM
I think the reason this time was that Halsey was given a UEFA game last night, therefore couldn't do his Saturday game. So him and Riley swapped. Not that anybody cares.
