MARK Halsey will be in charge of Newcastle's game with Portsmouth at St. James' Park on Sunday.

Leeds-based whistler Mike Riley was initially down to referee the game, but there has been a late change.

Mr Halsey has refereed one of United's matches already this seasom, the 2-0 defeat away to Liverpool back in September.

That's the second time Riley was due to referee our game but then had it switched at the last minute.  He was down for the Boro game but was apparently booked in for a holiday instead - mistake at the FA or something.
