Reyes always has those 2-3 months in a season were he looks absolutely world class, before falling into mediocrity. Going to Turkey, imho, is pretty much him giving up.

Sunshine player. Class when it's warm, goes missing when it's cold.

Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua say Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka has agreed to join them.

The 32-year-old's advisors have been in talks with the club, who are also expected to recruit former France midfielder Jean Tigana as manager.

Shanghai spokesman Ma Yue did not reveal the fee but said Anelka could start playing in January "if all contract details are 100% confirmed".

I expect that move to be Anelka's final payday tbh. Much like Butt and his move to Hong Kong.

Marca claiming Real Madrid in talks with Mario Fernandes from Gremio for January. They are lacking bodies at RB so it makes sense. Is he any good? (Suppose Felipao may know him)

Anelka looks happier than the guy who signed him!

Anelka's far too young and good to go and play in China. Another couple of seasons in Europe would have been easily possible, sorry to see him end his top-flight career so soon.

£8m a year

Bloody hell

A different team earlier in the season signed an Argie player (Dario Conca) from the Brazilian league....rumoured to be one of the highest paid players in the world just behind C.Ronaldo and Messi.

Balagué in "Lampard to sign for Real Madrid" rumor.

Make it happen, José.

Balagué probably read about it over here, was being widely said over the weekend that Mourinho was offering Granero in part exchange.  The Mail reckoned it would happen which probably means that it won't

If they do sell him, and with Drogbar's contract expiring, it will be interesting to see who Chelsea try and bring in up front next summer then.

They massively missed the boat with Aguero.
