Like them both, he's on the endless list of people who were chosen to wake up on mountains of wealth one morning in 1989. He has since become probably one of the most successful ones of his type. Currently 99% of the major and medium-sized football clubs in Eastern Europe and Russia are owned by people who were either 'created' by the KGB and/or have serious ties with the Russian mafia. It's sort of a concious policy of the Putin adiministration. Shakhtar have always had that great scouting network in Brazil of course.
