Various: Mike Ashley in talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan

I’ve been a supporter since 1995, and I can’t remember us having a squad so devoid of attacking talent.

And there’s no efforts whatsoever to help out one of the best manangers we’ve had in that period.

Their logic is so flawed.

Get a good manager in Benitez, but fund him with bargain bucket signings or when Benitez is gone hire another McClaren, let him spend the money they won't allow Benitez to spend, but such a manager will decrease value of new signings.

Going the way of Sunderland to just get MA out is redic painful.

It would be joyous if it worked IMO. Only problem is going the way of Sunderland and keeping the twat.

My 6 mates that sit together have just decided all to cancel their tickets and a few of them have had them for 27 years. We all took our kids on Saturday and it was honestly so depressing.

Could be horrific next season with all the people cancelling. Actually probably worse if we stay up and finish bottom next year.

The more people that realise this is the way forward the better, having said that, unfortunately there will be people who will step in and take your place.

Such a fucking depressing shit storm.

if the cancellations are actually as significant as it's looking he'll cut the price and people will buy it

Don't think the people cancelling will necessarily all be replaced given there isn't a season ticket sellout this season. There will, obviously, be new customers but there is going to be a massive increase in the amount of empty seats and that is significant.

Just think there's always new people such as kids just turning old enough to go on there own for example but yes these will be minimal and insignificant over the numbers leaving.

Crowds have already dropped this season, people aren't being replaced the tide has slowly turned, hopefully it turns into a tsunami next season.

Holding onto the faint hope it might force a takeover

Club has sent me an email saying this seasons home shirt is now only £33.

Fuck off.

That'll get the patriots buying them in droves.

My dad mentioned cancelling his season ticket when I spoke to him yesterday. First time he's said that. He doesn't like Ashley but he's also passive and doesn't get involved in protests. Had a season ticket for 30+ years - just doesn't see the point anymore.

Looks like our transfer cash is going on Patisserie Valerie. Sounds like a French player.

It's either that or using the money trying to find a cure for HMV.
