Crazy money to be paying for someone who provided so few goals with a significant amount of playing time in a better team. Wonder who made the recommendation and approved the expenditure at Forest. I’m not convinced we managed to rinse Forest for an almost-guaranteed £15m transfer fee and a £4m loan fee on top to be honest. Realistically, Shelvey was nowhere near the first team anymore (with BG, JL, SL, JW in front of him), and I doubt, barring an injury crisis that Howe had any intentuion of using him, and activating the contract extension.
