James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)

If he prefers Tottenham then no hard feelings, he just wants to enjoy London and not actually play good football and achieve something.

People... It's talksport

And of course Levy thinks he can buy players cheaper then the market value and sell theirs at higher.

Weird. Clearly not interested in winning anything or playing in the Champions League at the very least. If he's one of those who are swayed by the bright lights then we're better without imo. Only want us to sign players who see us as their absolute first choice.

I could understand being swayed by the bright lights if he was single.

But he's got 1 kid and one soon to be born any second by the look of his misses.

If he wants that then good for him.

2 kids and no marriage is quite an intriguing one...

I think if we still wanted him we'd sign him. Think he'll do well at Spurs. If it's not us, I'm pleased it's not to Man Utd, Liverpool or Arsenal because I think he'd be class at all 3.

Have said before, but I’m pretty sure if we wanted him then we’d have had him by now. I think we had serious interest last summer, just not at the price Leicester quoted.

Now we’re a CL team we’re quite rightly broadening our reach.

If he doesn’t want to come it’s fine move in, maybe he wants our number one choice anyway, who knows. On the face of it if we do want him and he’s choosing spurs it would seem a bit odd but the lad will have his own reasons. Some people will go way over the top though if he does go to Spurs, proper radged up nonsense ?

If we're truly after him is it wrong to think he's taking the easy option here?

If we’re truly after him then it’s a financial decision and a desire to live near London.

Time will tell. This could be Botman to Milan again. I’m totally relaxed about this. We always get what we need!

What do you mean?

If I was single and rich and a celeb I'd be buzzing in London frequenting the clubs and all the nightlife and attention and models etc, having fun

But If I've got a kid and 2 others incoming I'd much prefer a quieter life to raise a family in a nice North East suburb and focusing on my football and family life in a lower-key environment.

It's not some groundbreaking thesis.

Why do you think many others in the same situation do exactly that (live in London) ? It's not like they'll be in a flat in Peckham. Now me personally, I dont like the place, I breath easier on the train when heading North but I can see its attractions for others, especially if rich.

Now, what you said was about 2 kids and no marriage wasnt it ? See what got the reaction?

Yeah he's got her up the duff twice but won't commit which is interesting as he's keeping his options open, London could be fun for him.

I'd do the same, playas gonna play.
