Now That's What I Call Transfer Rumours! 7

If we don’t go for him he will accept West Ham’s offer but this will be like the reverse of Ekitike, they’ll hold out for movement from us for as long as they can.

If he goes there at that price it’s an insane piece of business and makes zero sense given that he would improve every side in the league

Paqueta will be here if Howe wants him. If he doesn't though, then that's fine with me.

The Maddison bid suggested we didn’t want him tbh

So about that budget...

Can't wait to see how Luke wiggles out of that brilliant piece of reporting.

The Maddison offers just seemed a bit odd, twice or three times bidding a fee that they knew would be turned down?

I just wonder if this stuff is the club getting into the dark arts, unsettling key players at other clubs or maybe just using them to further better value moves elsewhere?

The Shelvey injury really is a bummer. Would really like us to be able to get Bruno out of the deeper role, at least in some games.

Why do people keep saying this? Real Madrid have him as their number one Casemiro replacement.

Didn't Paqueta's reported price come down around the same time? Might be fantasising but that bid might have been to provoke him into pushing for his move. He wants to play in the PL and while it's not a requirement that he joins his best mate, I think if the opportunity was disappearing he might take action.

"Their talks with Watford about Pedro are believed to be continuing and there is a long-standing interest in the Brazil midfielder Lucas Paquetá, who has been repeatedly watched by representatives from Newcastle"

It is and it isn't.  He wasn't the answer long term and if it means we end up getting an upgrade in at CM, I'm guessing loan with an option/obligation to buy, then I'm all for it.

I dunno why we're being a proper cocktease about it.

Proper standing at the side of the dance floor thinking we're James Bond when we could just swoop in.

In for Isak, Pedro and Paqueta according to Mr Hardy.

I’d probably die if we got all 3. Worth it.

Moyes talking about how many positions Paqueta can play and him having 30 caps for Brazil. Just shut it until he's signed you pillock.

Would love us to swoop in and sign Paqueta at the last minute, like so many clubs have done to us with other players over the years.

Just bid a million more and newcastle tax can’t be implemented

I'm guessing that on the back of Sunday, the owners & management think we can bridge the gap a couple of years ahead of schedule, by spending big now.

Really hope that we're still in for Pedro but losing hope on Paqueta.
