Hi guys

We're starting this season with a section dedicated to each Premiership club. If you have anything interesting or think could be added please feel free to add it here

https://lufcchat.boards.net/thread/26/newcastle-utd

Or post a reply and I can copy it over. Please make it something we can actually post

When I signed up one poster (selbywhite) inboxed me for a photo of my bottom?

Please don't chat about Newcastle anywhere but here.

Thank you

I've heard people chatting about them in the pub, on a train and at work....... I'll give them a good talking too. Seriously not looking to take chat away from here, just things only the clubs fans my know that would be interesting to fans in general.

These are also not allowed but very hard to enforce these days unfortunately.

@Davyccmay I say that I respect Leeds as a club. There is always "bite" in our fixtures with your lot and they're always well contested both on and off the pitch, but respect shown before, during and after. Proper club.

The way it should be, that's the same thoughts our members have re Newcastle possibly it's the one club city thing. Some Leeds fans have this mentality that twe are a massive club, we are support wise, but the days of being up there with the likes of the bin dippers, Arsenal, Man City and even now a reviving Newcastle are a distant past.

Big support is great but results matter and we've had years of "Leeds are falling apart again" but one step at a time. 17th will do me grand this season lol

What do you make of Longstaff thus far? Any better than what you have already?

TBH he didn't impress much in pre season friendlies but then I learnt a long time ago you cant go by those.

The game against yourselves was his first start so really can only go by that. If he keeps up that workrate then he'll be the perfect midfield partner for Tanaka who to me is more creative. Thankfully Farke realises we can't go all gung ho as we did in the Championship, unlike Bielsa so yeah I think Longstaff can be important for us, especially with his Premiership experience which we are lacking in. Is he better, I'd say different he's more combative than had/have.

Longstaff is a steady PL player. Many will tell you otherwise but he has good positional sense, a massive work rate and does the basics fairly well.

He wont ever tear up the place and do owt extravagant buy there's no need for that if you have those types around him. Seems a good kid in the dressing room and a real work horse. He'll be decent for you at your current level.
