he’d be Shelvey’s replacement I guess? Still need a destroyer in there.
-
His heat map is almost identical to last season though His shots per game are certainly down though (2.1 to 1.8) but his aerial duels are up. I wonder if he's just been asked to play as more of a target man this season? Hopefully we won't expect the same.

All two of them
-
Good point this, which I hadn't realised. Hopefully he'll get another hat-trick against Wolves on 9th April.
-
I mean it's been pointed out a number of times in the thread, but that doesn't have to be the only choice.
-
True, but he'd be our best centre back by a mile. Just bring him in on loan.
-
Just heard Agbonlahor on talksport criticising the (potential) signing, so I've completely changed my tune. No way am I agreeing with that dickhead. Good signing.
-
He's doubtful for the Watford game apparently

Sounds* like Man City have decided against going after Kane based on his form this season, so I guess teams do look at weird things like form. * Obviously only ever rumour they wanted him in the first place
-
I think I've made it clear what I think about this signing so I'll bow out Fingers crossed he remembers how to play and he keeps us up. He'll get a lovely pay packet and we'll replace him with someone much better in summer.
-
Can Wood play there?
-
Hopey says £25m
-
No that's not what I meant. I meant we don't create many chances. I'd love it if we did, both Wood and Wilson would thrive on it. Unfortunately we rely on ASM and Almiron to create our chances and neither of them have a final ball.
-
I'm not bothered about the fee, it could have been £70m for my liking, it doesn't matter at all. I'm more bothered that this is a sign that we're really struggling, and hoping an extremely out of form ageing striker is going to be our saviour makes me concerned. I'm basing it on watching him this season, not his fee. However, as soon as @KaKa calls him a Gladiator I'm back in.
-
That's not actually true though is it, other than against Cambridge.
-
Genuine question, are you talking about this season or previous seasons?
-
Link? I'm obviously on the negative board
-
-
Well I get the feeling it's our last throw of the dice, so let's get strapped in and pray for a miracle.
-
As is ours
-
I suspect people have actually watched Toney and seen his contribution to the team, as well as his potential. Believe it or not it's not just about the goals - Wood has been really poor this season.
-
My point is you should generally trust the views of the fans of the actual team, not away supporters. Everyone rates Gayle, we know he's shite. Loads of people on here rating Wood, Burnley fans think he's shite. WORRYING
-
Their fans are implying that he's finished. Whether that's physically or mentally I'm not sure. Perhaps Howe can breathe new life into him and he can get onto the end of an overhit Ritchie cross or two.
-
He's also shite, even when he's "fit"
