I wouldn't say he was a good motivator. He may have kicked their arses into gear when he first came but since then they've been incredibly flat and he seems to have fallen out with many of the players (Cattermole, Bardsley, Graham, Sessegnon, Potato-face).

As long as they aren't turning on Di Canio then every thing is good.

He needs a couple of fluke results to allow him to continue the damage. Last year they cut the chord on O'Neil before it was too late. I want Di Canio to ride his luck just enough so that he can last long enough to take them down.

It would make more sense if you were a Spaniard or some other nationality that has a team capable of winning the world cup. USA have no chance of winning so even if he had a great season you'd still have a mediocre world cup as always.

And underrated by some due to his nationality (and choice of club). It's impossible for many Toon fans to be objective when it comes to Sunderland (and American players). He's not really underrated since he hasn't done any thing of note yet in England.

He's not a bad player. He's an average one. Has no real stand out qualities but is an ok player overall. More use than Shola certainly but definitely overrated by some due to his nationality.
