  1. Looks like the same source (ie Wise) has been talking to the times and the NOTW.
  2. 1. With no final say on transfers. 2. The deal offered to Owen is supposedly a cut at basic level with various conditions. 3. Keegan has made several remarks since Jan which suggested he knew there was a very realistic budget - are you saying he suddenly wanted 100m on deadline day or maybe he just wanted the Milner money.
  3. That's bull Indi, and goes against the rumours that it was Wise doing the leaking for one. Unless of course you can prove KK was doing the leaking rather than suggesting it to suit your own views of this whole mess which is trying to put it on KK's toes from how I'm reading it. As .com pointed out, is it a coincidence that a lot of leaks appeared in the EVening Standard?
  4. Theres also the point that they say Ashley wanted Redknapp who has stated categorically he wouldn't work under this system.
  5. The nail in the Times shit should be that there is no way Keegan would even dream of thinking we could sign Lampard or Beckham

I would have him hanged just for lack of respect to Bobby.
  7. Possibly - my view is the structure was explained to him but only hit home how they saw it working when it was actually implemented. You could then ask how far they were willing to change it to address his concerns but that statement suggests not one iota.
  8. I'd also say that if Keegan can't talk about things in the media that leaves us with... absolutely and completely fuck all.
  9. So why did all the early stuff about Wise refer to academy recruitment?

Honest question Baggio if the club had been honest in its aim over 3 transfer windows to spend very little money do you think ST sales would be anywhere near what they are?

How many teams looking to improve have spent no money? Where has the new TV money gone?

Can someone who peddles this "the system works on the continent line" explain the presence of 4 English teams in the quarter finals of the CL and the absence of their best example (Real Madrid) from the final for the last 6 or 7 years.

Denis Wise comes from a South London family of scum. (Source is a mate who's a copper).
  14. Supposedly had to wait for outcome of criminal case and then for him to get out. Its' funny how driving offences are now mentioned in the same thread as Arsenal going off at him - I think what Adams did (on several occasions) was worse than what Barton has done.
  15. Small profit as it turned out which may have been up to £10m with a couple more signings - fucking wow. I think its clear this was very deliberate and questions have to be asked. If this ethos of buying just cheap young players continued for say 3 or 4 years how much ST and TV money would have been accumulated? What would be the point in generating cash? - hmm - let me see.
  16. Indi - the article in the Times which had Keegan's list was written by a journalist so far up the dwarf's arse, its his cock causing the chirpy cockney smile we all know and love - I don't believe it for a second. Keegan always spoke about a "realistic" transfer budget which must have been laid down very early. The fact that said budget was zero is a fucking disgrace.
  17. Completely ignores the shit he was left with and the fixture list but never mind.
  18. Depends how heated it got - if it got as far as "I'm not working with that odious little shit" then Lambias might have said fine then you're sacked.
  19. I have some sympathy with that from a head not heart angle. I've said before that if Keegan had been brought in to do what Venables did at Boro that time ie save them from relegation then leave with an appointment being made this summer I'd have been quite happy. The thing is I then got caught up in the the nostalgia for the style thing. Trying to be positive it is possible that someone like Deschamps could come in and do a great job, however after the events of this week I think the current regime is now too hated.
  20. I know its unusual but of my boss told me tomorrow I was sacked and then before I got home he rang me and said he'd had a rethink and wanted to talk about it I'd listen to what he had to say. That doesn't mean that on the train home I wouldn't have phoned a mate and told him I'd been sacked.
  21. I guess he'd have to prove it for legal action - I'd guess it wouldn't have been in writing at that stage. The media have printed and broadcast a lot of shite but the inevitible conclusion is that there is some truth buried here and there. Sky Sports and the BBC for that matter were pretty insistent when running the sacking story - especially the latter lends weight imo.
  22. The point is that most people given a choice between that setup, especially with the impression of the people involved, and Kev staying would choose Kev.
  23. The first/main reports on Tuesday alleged he'd been sacked - that doesn't fit your walkout/bottler scenario. Those reports were wrong though, weren't they, otherwise why would Keegan himself say that he's resigned? Resigned now - I think he was sacked on Tuesday but then Ashley possibly got him to return and discuss things - hence the delay in any kind of statement then. My honest view of things since then is its all been about the money which is sad.
